How do you know if the burn in is ok or not?
@AugmentedFianna5 күн бұрын
If the weld is penetrating the steel and almost blends or melts in, if not it sits on top and has not penetrated

You have to make sure that you buy the capable electrode wire for your machine. For instance I have a Century FC (flux core) 90 machine, I can't switch between electrode positive to electrode negative like say a Lincoln Power MIG140 machine can. I'm stuck with DCEN (electrode negative) polarity , so if I purchase a fluxcore gasless electrode stainless steel wire that is for a machines setup in DCEP (electrode positive) polarity position, then my welds are gonna struggle and I'm basically using the wrong electrode wire application for my DCEN setup only machine. This doesn't mean I can't weld with gasless fluxcore stainless steel wire, I just have to make sure when I purchase my spool it specifically details from the manufacturer that this electrode wire can run through a DCEN polarity setup machine. Now if you can easily switch your machines polarity then you just have to decide if your work piece will benefit better or worse by running your machine either in DCEP OR DCEN polarity. In my case I'm just stuck with one option.

You are welding with the nozzle used for gas welding solid wire. Much easier using the right fitting.

today is 28th April 2024. I have just bought one of these from Lidl in Wales UK for £79.99, and having watched this video, I am absolutely amazed that it coped with 12mm steel. I was going to be content with maybe 4-6 mm, but this video has made me even more please I bough one (I got there early and they only had three units to sell -so very very happy) ps £79.99= €92.42
