No. We're not all good. We are worse for your damage to our ancient craft for your own personal gain. Horrific and shameful.

You try to speak for everyone. That is pretty presumptuous and arrogant tbh. I ask why you focus on me in particular vs Penn and Teller and how they reveal the cups and balls using clear cups, Lloyd Barnes, or the tons of other magicians that share their own personal secrets on KZfaq. Why me? Do you go out of your way to shame each of them too? I’m actually curious. Ancient craft would stay ancient craft if never modernized. How do you think we grow? And I’m sharing my OWN magic that I CREATED to give to other magicians . What’s my gain? I’m not charging for any of the effects I created and am giving them all away. I just don’t want people to suffer for the art as I did. Look at my following? I’m not even monetized. There’s no gain. I only seek to give and help modern entertainers. The explanations are filled with jargon and the low view counts on each vid means that these videos only really reach their true targets, real magicians, not the average layman who STATISTICALLY CLICKS OFF IN THE FIRST MINUTE ONCE THE PERFORMANCE OF A TRICK IS DONE. If you weren’t filled by blind and shallow hatred, you’d see this, and understand I’m not your enemy. You want an enemy? Go attack Ekaterina or Bill Murray for doing cheap exposures of magic and insulting the art, not me. I give out of love, and want to help other magicians. That’s all.

@@EvolvingMagic Ancient is ancient. Now and forever. Respectfully, please don't compare yourself to penn and teller in any way. Lastly, you are exposing magic in videos accessible to the public. This is inexcusable. Helping magicians is fine. But you are clearly doing this for personal gain. Shame on you. Goodbye

@@magicfish100 Yeah, but my point still stands. If nobody shared and grew through it, magic would still not have grown an inch. Sorry it’s sooooo difficult of a concept for you to understand. And I’m asking why me? You can see all the other magicians doing ACTUAL exposure while I’m doing teaching for the aid of magicians, which I demonstrated does not benefit me in any way. I’ve spent over 10 grand in a ton of equipment to share all the newest techniques I had either modified or created to share from my brain and heart. Have I put them any of these videos behind a paywall? No. Have I made 1 cent during the entire existence of this channel? No. And have you heard anything old saying from the insider magicians? “The best way to keep a secret is to publish it.” Which I did. Are magic books not accessible to the public? Both good and bad magic books? Have I targeted my audience and created videos in such a way that the average layperson would click off as soon as they get to the secret part after one minute or the performance ends with KZfaq data that proves what I’m saying is true? Also yes. So covering every base someone surface level like you can think of. I really don’t get what I’m doing wrong in contrast to any other channel. And tbh, my improved versions which I created, are often better than any of the other versions out in print. And I’m not even charging a dime for it. Please, tell me the personal gain. I just don’t see it, and I grow weary of your aimless and weak baseless arguments on nothing more than how you feel, and your blind hatred of me being also unfounded. You don’t have to follow me, and you’re wasting your own time and energy reading and writing this. I’d rather you devote your time to better things. I’m not worth the effort, broskie. (And if you really think I am, thank you, that’s a compliment I’ll take willingly, and gladly😂).

I would say one presentation tip. Magicians should be aware of the mouth smacking. I don't know why people do it but as a magician and as a spectator if a magician was showing me a routine and doing that, That would bother me and i wouldn't wanna see the trick anymore. Just a small tip

Very valid, and I encourage it! Haha I wanted to allow people to have options in their thumb tip work, because asides from the book Switch by John Lovick and Gary Darwin's thumb tip books, there really aren't a lot of options. And the effects you can produce with thumb tips? They're exquisite!!! 😂👌 May you have great success in your magic buddy.

Exposure to whom? Magicians or aspiring magicians only, and gladly. The data shows that my INTENTIONAL personal styling of teaching, and very specific way the video is produced, only serves those who are actually interested in learning magic, and little else. Everyone else clicks off promptly as it bores them or they lose interest fast. Only those who truly watch to the end are rewarded. Not many other magicians can say, or do, that. 😂 This place is a magicians playground, giving openly my best kept secrets that fooled many, top magicians and spectators, PROTECTED by jargon, single focus point video, and boredom from over complication or disinterest from no immediate gratification seen in the first minute beyond trick performance. If you have come to learn, I welcome you openly, but please, bear no ill will. I am on a mission to only teach those who wish to learn so that they don't have to spend/suffer years to aquire the knowledge I have acquired, and the many tricks I created. If you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to answer. -Dan

@EvolvingMagic 7 күн бұрын
Not exposure. I’m covering the technique for teaching purposes from a teaching perspective using my own insights to improve the technique, all in line with the goal of the channel. And because it has my own unique insights and touches to it, from when first mentioned in the Artful Dodges of Eddie Fields, it’s one I choose to cover to help intermediate level magicians get to the next level in their magic. So they won’t have to suffer like I did. Wishing you the best in your magical journey. (And, if it makes you feel better, Justin Miller, who’s touted for opposing any “exposure” type of magic culture, had stopped by my channel. He didn’t say anything aside from laughing, so I think we’re all good. 😎👌)

I like this! Been really working on my Sleeving lately and trying all kinds of methods & techniques. I can really see the use for a vanish of a “vanished” coin. (I just got Joshua Jay’s “Triad Coins”, which I like a lot, & he has a great final vanish, but it has a requirement I’m not always able to meet. So this would be a great alternative finish! I could also see it being used in place of the first vanish in Justin Miller’s “Silver Dream” if someone wasn’t comfortable w/ it also)
@EvolvingMagic
@EvolvingMagic 4 ай бұрын
You know, you nailed it. 😂 Silver Dream was the original inspiration for this. Love that routine. Though because of initial struggle and styling preferences I had with sleeving, I created this to be able to take my time, and ensure no flash...and solve some sleeving issues with other methods (mainly reliability, and casual smoothness). My hope at the end of the day is to give entertainers all the tools they need to be truly, #cliche, "Evolving Magic" 😂

While nobody should be expected to know everyone, I do have some of his work, being the bill in kiwi, and one of his fism DVDs. Neither of which talk about his sleeving work, which I now see after looking him up. Looks pretty cool. Still, the information in the video is still relevant, me having independently come up with the ideas just to help others. That's why I don't charge for covering the techniques in these vids. 😎👌(I earnestly don't want people to suffer as I did)

Next to Max Malini's Version featured in Steve Cohens wonderful book (King of Magicians, Magicians of Kings p.129), this is one of the better versions out there from all that I've studied, albeit agreeably with a bare bones presentation. Wouldn't take much thought on how to dress it/theme it up for sure(The Books Structuring Magic by Pete McGabe/Maximum Entertainment, anyone?😂). As it does have a unique structure of technical elements that I haven't seen anywhere else, to which I tried to be sure of this before I publish ANY of my work, I am claiming this exact handling as my own til proven otherwise, as with all of my work on this channel, crediting where I can. As to all the work I've published (400ish tricks and routines), the work is usually more advanced, and improved, so it's meant specifically for the magicians enjoyment, and a public archive for me to use to recollect routines I use for my gigs. Since the tutorials are "so technical", spectators who watch, as data shows, they get bored in the first minute or so, and leave because the secret just goes over their head, as predicted. So bases are covered there. Rejoice in having a place you can learn magic, and adding your own, and possibly better spin to it presentationally. And why make this all public and free? Because a) for the real core secrets of magic, in a magic system I train new performers on, I charge for that, and b) dont forget the system where I teach others to use unique magic routines to connect with others in 2023, the age of social media. Haha All that said, thanks for stopping by. My channel has organized playlists on there, so if you scroll down, you might find something else that catches your eye. Wishing you the best in your performances endeavors. 🙏

A few things... First off, you're describing the opposite of what Vernon's move is. Topping the Deck is a Palm, not a Palm Replacement. There are a few great resources out there, including Vernon's original Select Secrets where it was first published I believe. As well as Bob White's Practical Palming. I believe John Carney's Book of Secrets has it as well. Second, I'd suggest not having your thumb of the palming hand straightened out on either the palm or the replacement. There is no real reason to have the hand go over the deck with the thumb in that position and looks a bit suspect. Think of how your hand looks when you're going to take the deck into biddle grip, thumb in the back. You can do both a palm and a replacement from that position. Lastly, I think you are either confusing Topping the Deck with Capping the Deck which is another way to saying Palm Replacement to the top. You also described Aaron Fisher's "Decking the Top" which is a Palm Replacement with the beveled deck which is obviously a play on words of Vernon's move.

Check my channel and playlists if you're searching for that specifically. I've taught and revealed over 400 of my own masterpieces I've used to fool Magic Castle audiences and magicians, or plots I've just updated to make them better. Thing is, when I took a deep look at the analytics data, the data says 97+% of people only stay for the performance and not for the explanation. So with the data in mind, I opted for shorter, more direct performances for higher engagement while taking the opportunity to also pitch the program that gives all the best secrets to making anyone an amazing performer (The Zero to Hero Magic System). I also give the opportunity to promote good learning material for people to learn more quality magic. So tl;Dr , I tried it as you've said for 3 years, and it sadly hasn't proved true. I may re-release my best work with tutorials with updated thumbnails, so look out for that in the coming days. Haha
