Hab mir die Paste von Emil Otto auch mal geholt, aber die ist nicht brauchbar. Stinkt ganz furchtbar und fliesst auch nicht schön - und leider, da bleifrei, auch matt. Hab echt jede Temp probiert - es taugt irgendwie nix.

Naja, also eigentlich finde ich es natürlich wesentlich schöner aus Deutschland, lokal zu bestellen. Aber ist schon ironisch, dass es bei Aisler länger dauert als z.B. bei JLCPCB aus China. Ok, wenn man den aller günstigsten Versand bei JLCPCB nimmt, dauert es etwa genauso lange. Aber mit DHL braucht JLCPCB knapp über ne Woche (7 Tage).

Genial. Würde vielleicht das Problem bei 3D Drucker lösen, dass der Druckkopf durch den Stepper zu schwer wird und somit hohe Geschwindigkeiten schwer erreicht werden können.

Have you heard of nickel plated nozzles? I heard those can help prevent the petg from sticking onto the nozzle

Mir gefällts nicht! Vielleicht bin ich da zu pingelig?! Wenn ich schon ein Video online stelle, dann schmeiße ich die Bauteile nicht krumm und schief auf die Platine! Deinen "Backofen" finde ich quatsch, ich will sehen was ich verlöte. Wir machen ja keine Serienfertigung oder große Stückzahlen. Der Vorschlag mit dem Vogelsand ist wohl eher ein Witz ... dann kannst Du die Platine im Sommer auch mit der Lupe und der Sonne verlöten. Wer nichtmal einen Lötkolben (oder Heißluft) besitzt sollte von solchen Hobbys die Finger lassen!

Hallo Frank, sorry für die späte Antwort. Alsoooo ... die Bauteile können krumm und schief sein, da im Ofen diese dann durch die Oberflächenspannung in die richtige Position springen, wenn die Lötpaste sich verflüssigt. Der Backofen sorgt für eine kontrollierte Temperaturkurve, die je nach Lötzinn unterschiedlich sein kann und an dem Ofen eingestellt wird. Der Vorschlag mit dem Vogelsand ist kein Witz und wurde auch schon sehr oft umgesetzt. from what I've been told, you won't get enough torque. There is another guy who gets around this problem using a stepper motor connected to a socket while a stationary wrench holds the spindle from turning.

After fighting for days trying to etch a stencil from a soda can I using vinyl stencil from my cricket I had an epiphany and grabbed a sheet of transparency straight into the Cricut. Magic! Works like a charm! Glad to see it works for you too!

Yes, but the problem is the low resolution. The magnetic disk delivers only 10 signals per revolution.

You made good progress on this project. The only motor and gearbox I can think of right now is the very common 550 size with a planetary gear box in cordless drills. The power requirements in might be too high for a low cost servo driver though.

How accurate can such a servo motor be?

This depends on the ratio of the gearbox, more ratio the more accurate but also slower, but therefore stronger. The max ratio of the 20D is 488:1. 488 revolutions of the motor for one revolution of the gearbox. with 10 signals we get a resolution of 4880 for one revolution. Higher than the stepper motor with typically 200 full steps.
