First, congratulations ! Yet another great course. I grew up at the coast in the dune area, I love links courses. Can't wait to try a few on Scottish east coast. So, one thing I found interesting is G got extra shots. I always tell people to take a pen and change the "par" on their scorecard to whatever par for them is given their HCP. It is amazing how different people (well, men especially, me included) start playing if you do that. Instead of trying hero-shots to get a par 4 in 4 they now play tactical and safe to get there in 5. Really helps lower their HCP. Hope you keep having time for the videos, they are fun but I know it is a lot of work 🙂

It also makes it much better to play matches when par is relevant depending on how far you hit it. It’s surprising how many courses still don’t change it.

Completely agree! Golf is such a mental game, its so funny how a short par 5 I'm thinking there's a great chance to make birdie, but turn the same hole into a long par 4 and I'd be worried about making a bogey!

Played it last week. Course was very neat n tidy but the greens were like treacle and very bumpy. New green keeper I believe so maybe some transitioning going on. It’s usually in pristine condition too ☹️

We use a mixture. We both have titleist drivers but the rest is very much a mix and we use a number of different brands, G loves to use her Taylormade Pix balls!

Had to laugh when her (fantastic) hair "wipped" her. Be careful not to tangle it up in the club 😂. I have NOT that problem, my hair run away in the th 90's 😂 I thought it looked familiar, but the wonderful views can be as wonderful many places aroud the coast. BUT then I looked at the map. I actually was there in 2017, not playing, but lived in Pittenweem 2 weeks holiday. No I regret not having my clubs 😂

my old driver grip used to get caught in my plait and it was painful 🤣🤣 Pittenweem is a lovely spot! if you ever come back this is a must play! ⛳️

@@CGgolfs I will be back.... It is my dream to live in St Andrews for at least 3 weeks. What is the best time to do that? I guess late june and july is the absolute busiest? Then I would like to avoid that.

How did you get on in the competition?

We struggled a bit - we were a couple under after like 9/10 holes, but then the weather just turned completely. Rain, hail, sideways 40mph winds lmao. Ended up maybe 6 or 7 over, can't remember the exact score but pretty sure we just bogeyed most of the holes in unfortunately

Hahahah unfortunately there was no baked good delivery from Yorkshire this round!! We tee'd off so early as we were golfing that afternoon too, but we didn't see anyone else out on the course until we reached the 7th green!

What an adventure. I don't know why you thought about not publishing or doing voiceover, this vid is so great and genuine. Level par after 72 in 1 day is a big achievement. Plus, if I look at your interaction after 72 holes of golf and probably walking 20 miles or so, I think there is a very good chance you two will still be playing happily together once you reach our age 😊
