Depends on what you are looking to do! If you want to target bass more, we'd recommend the Option Bass. We'd recommend the Professional Series if you want to do a little bit of everything between salt and fresh. Feel free to give us a call if you have more questions!

I call the TFO professional series rods the ugly stick of but made by Tfo they are almost indestructible rods

Serious question, does the rod and reel really have anything to do with catching food fish? I would think that line and flies and technique is far more important than a rod and reel

Better rods load and cast better. Investing in a sealed reel also saves you from worrying about ruining it

New pro rods look great I own 4 of the current models and want to pick up the new ones I just need to talk to my tackle shop owner Also I have found these rods to be like a ugly stick tuff but less than half the weight of a gx2 and also nicer by a long shot caught a ton of striped bass on the 7 ft medium spinning rod

A lot of egoistic and delusional American nationalism in the comments is the main reason why i dont like USA as a country. How is Korean made rod worse? South Korea is a very advanced and civilised country with great technology and quality to their products. Instead of hating on "overseas made" you should focus on critisizing the horrible prices one have to pay in order to get murican made rod(+$1000) with the same quality as a $400-$500 korean made rod. For me its simple: if i stumble upon a great product and i like the price i dont give a flying f@$& about where its made. You should do the same

I own a 5’6” UL series 1 for small streams and the 8” Light 2 piece series 2. I absolutely love these rods, castability, sensitivity, strength and feel all great at a reasonable price point.

Both are fast-action rods that will work great for either scenario. If you plan on spending more time fishing freshwater, I would go with the 6wt LK Legacy with the fighting butt. It can also be used in saltwater as well.
