I don't know what you mean, it's the jcw pro exhaust. Tuning not required as it's already a jcw, I threw that in a folder. And no, I deleted the secondary cat with a cobra sport mid pipe and no codes as the secondary cat is not monitored. I'm in the states though, so if you're not you may have a gpf/ppf and that's a separate issue.

thank you so much for that video. i will put the pro exhaust next week on my 2020 jcw f56. i will make sure that my garage will leave the GPF build in and right after will put on the jcw pro exhaust components. the garage first recommended to exchange the whole exhaust from directly from the katalysator. but i definitely don’t want to see any engine lights afterwards and coding on my car. should be the case right? as well would be interesting to hear an exhaust (GPF + jcw pro exhaust).
@j8rr3tt

Glad I could help. So if you want to keep your gpf, they will have to cut your stock exhaust just behind the gpf as it's one piece. They will likely have to trim down the pro exhaust a small bit as well so that it's the proper length. Then when they mount the pro exhaust, they will either have to weld it in place or use clamps as I did. I don't have any video or sound clips of a GPF with a jcw pro exhaust because mine didn't have a GPF as the U.S. doesn't require mini to have them in place here. Though I can say, with the valve open, you will definitely notice a difference and may get some crackles and pops.

@@j8rr3tt Thank you again for your quick answer. In general there is a lot of different opinions and confusion about the JCW-PRO exhaust topic in the internet. i should say i got a bit unsure in mountin the pro exhaust or not. i am afraid of lighting up engine lights after removing the GPF. and i don't want the car to be provokingly loud when the valve is closed - when it's opened i am happy to have pure mini sound. here (switzerland) regulations regarding volume is pretty tough.

Very interesting... So I'm from the middle east and there's just one mini dealer in my country and they strictly only do business with mini UK. Which is of course European market. However, mine does not have a GPF. I was looking into installing the pro exhaust. I watched your video on that and then came to this one after reading the comments about the GPF thing. To be honest, I lost hope right away when I read the controversy that European cars have the GPF filter. Because as I said, our dealer only do business with mini UK. Even more, we have stupid car regulation to a point where we can't even slap a simple sticker on our cars. On the other hand, if a dealer sells a car fully modified then its somehow completely fine by regulations. The only thing that made me go outdoors and check for the GPF filter is after a read a bunch of comments here of how they don't get pops and bangs because of the GPF filter. Because I do get them, and on some rare occasions, I get a crazy gun-fire loud bang approximately 3-5 seconds after a downshift. Not to mention the consistant pops and bangs after letting off the gas in sport mode. I guess in my case I'm a super lucky dude to have this car 😁

What production month is your JCW? I have an Oct. 2020 build (2021 MY, for USA) and there is NO over-run burbles whatsoever. I'm at 1350 miles now, and I'm about to give up on this car. I haven't checked for the presence of the GPF yet, but will do so soon. But if there are no burbles now, I don't think just getting the exhaust from ECS is going to change that. I built/ordered my JCW in September 2020 and took delivery in November 2020. Unfortunately if you're not in the USA you likely have a GPF which is keeping the pops and bangs from happening. You can always add the jcw pro exhaust from the resonator back. Or you can look into a GPF delete but that's going to require a tune or a specific exhaust. That's really the only tip I have is to get that exhaust clamp. It's really pretty straight forward. You can find the dealer install instructions online which you may need when it comes to the wiring. Also a spray bottle of water with a little dish soap will help get the exhaust out of the rubber hangers. I didn't do the tune because i have a JCW already so the tune is pointless for me. I don't have a GPF. It's my understanding that that was only for UK models. Do you know for sure if you have a GPF? The best way to tell is to peak under your car, the resonator will be kind of coned shaped towards the front. That means you have a GPF. If the front of your resonator is flat and looks identical to the rear of your resonator, then you don't have a GPF. Im Trying to figure out how I could show you some pictures of what I'm talking about. As far as buying a remus and cutting a section out, that's definitely something you can do. When I started researching for a JCW pro or remus, I didn't have the car in my possession yet because it was still being built and I couldn't find any info on GPF in the states. So my original plan was to buy the JCW pro exhaust and cut my stock exhaust just behind the resonator and attach the pro exhaust just behind the resonator (not using the mid pipe that comes with the pro exhaust). But when I finally took delivery of my car, I found that it had no GPF and was able to put the entire pro exhaust on.
