I am goign to re-do my Tau, I did then Dark Angels greent he first time with like no shading... I love this exaple, a bit too light for what I want to do personally but has some great ideas.

Thanks a ton. But as for me - i dont like that common “lazy” method with alternate thirds of bright-dark colours. Same with NMM. Its “unrealistic”, if we can speak about “realistic” in this case. For my imagination, power generators in weapon should do two things: 1) warm the blade from the inside - in this case, we must have the brightest core with cooling at the edges 2) warm the blade from the outside - in this case, there should be the brightest strip along the blade with cooling in the middle
