how long did you cook the chicken on the grill ?
@indulgewithiti
@indulgewithiti 3 күн бұрын
Roughly 25 to 30 mins on cast iron skillet .Maintain lowest heat setting to prevent premature char. Turn the chicken over every 5 minutes brush with marinate.

Yes you can use millet powder. Blend the other ingredients and mix them into the dry millet powder. Add water to hydrate the mixture. You can apply all the other steps from here on. Bless

I’m Fulani from Mali and Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 🇲🇱 and we make this as well. But we call it Dèguè. In Senegal and some other places, it’s called Thiakry (chakry).

Senegalese here. I see many Senegalese thieboudienne recipes online. This one is the closest to the original I've seen. Looks so good! Makes me want to cook thieboudienne tonight 🤤

It's clear to see the joloff rice is clearly from the wolof people. I'm puerto rican and part of my african ancestry is from the wolof people of Senegal.

I have tried the same thing but a little different way. I used 2 garlic, 1 spoon honey , very little ginger and turmeric powder. I added few drops of black seed oil and lemon. All together blended & I took only 1 spoon. I tried not to taste it on my tongue and still it was so strong & the side effects were right in a second. My first and most side effects were heart burn. In a bout less than 5 minutes I drunk a cup of milk coz it burned my heart, stomach cramps & discomfort. My cough stopped right away. My cold and sore or cough was gone. The only thing I had issues was heart burn. After few hours I took medicine for the heart burn. I feel better. From my experience I advise you not to mix lemon with garlic, both are crazy and powerful. Don’t exceed over 1 spoon in 24 hrs. This is my experience and it does not apply to everyone. Every single person is different and has different reactions. I am not suggesting you to try it , I am simply pointing out what I tried. Thanks for the video.

The beef looses weight after frying. But you will have more volume once you turn it to flow. I used 1.3kg for the recipe.

Vinegar and baking soda cancels each other out making your mix ineffection. Look up food grade hydrogen peroxide,instead.

Keep making it like this. Never let someone whose people unalived your ancestors and still doing it today tell you how to save yourself medicinally. If you havnt had any bad reactions, keep using it!!!

Medical substances often interact. There are 3 possible effects: Synergy (enhancing), Additive (does not affect the other), Antagonist (will reduce the effect of the other) Honey is synergistic with Black Seeds.

I added a small portion for the jollof stew base to the tamarind purée. At 11:15 I drizzled the tamarind sauce over the plated jollof. This is optional for those when enjoy the additional zesty taste of tamarind. 😊

Miss, i loved how the food ended up! My husband is gambian and keeps saying that this is the best. I want to do it tomorrow! You used only 6 cups of water for 6 cups of rice??
@indulgewithiti
@indulgewithiti 3 ай бұрын
I am soo glad you enjoyed the recipe. I did use 6 cups of water making it a cup of water per cup of rice 1:1. Too much water will make the rice very soggy. The amount of rice I cooked fed 8-10 people. 4 cups of rice can comfortably feed 4-6 people. Plus leftovers. Enjoy! x
