Every time I visit Detroit and Ypsilanti I eat here. I was raised in Hamtramck and I miss it. Now live in Kentucky. This Cafe has excellent food and service. Very friendly people. I even brought home a spoon at one time and then a fork. I have them placed in shadow boxes with the dates and people I was with. And in the middle is a menu you all gave me. Love this cafe.

My Best Friend That Passed Away She Used To Live In Palmer Woods

So many memories! My family were members during the 1960s (until we moved to Grosse Ile in 1966), and our boat slip was second from the end on Midway dock. I was six years old in 1960 when my family joined the club. Favorite memories for me are: Venetian Night, blueberry pancake breakfasts on the veranda, hydroplane races, the “kids only” restaurant, and the annual Easter Egg Hunt. I still remember the account number I used to sign for food in the kid’s restaurant! When my mom passed away in 2016, I found the 100th Anniversary book from the DYC-one of my most treasured possessions.

This is quite marvelous!

I went through this house when it was for sale in the 80's. It was still in fairly good condition. The only way I can describe it is that it's like walking through a work of art.

Old video. But now many of the storefronts are rehabbed! There are now at least 10-15 new eating establishments. The housing and rental scene has grown tremendously. I love this area!

Cranbrook was the ”American Bauhaus”. I hope it still is that.

It's a beautiful Club when I was a child we kept our boat at Catawba Island Club in Ohio and our summer vacation consisted of going to Detroit Yacht Club Detroit boat club and Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. And then the little Club. To those who know it to those who don't it was Grosse Pointe Club. And then I'm drawing a blank as I'm saying this we went to a place across Lake St Clair that was real nice and exclusive. And then when I was in my late 20s early 30s I did the same thing when I was married which was kind of cool. And then I got divorced and I was in a relationship with somebody from Grosse Pointe Farms and we belong to Grosse Pointe Yacht Club and Grosse Pointe Club. So it's come full circle. I love it there and I miss it. I don't miss the weather

Royal oak was literally a sleepy little town when we moved there in 1967 , the greatest place to grow up as a kid. It's nice now but was truly all American back in the day !

This place is great. The combination of a fun engaging game with a bar and a great Italian restaurant is lots of fun.

lived here my whole life, my parents moved here in 1998, I love this town its the best, its so weird seeing this video 13 years later, its crazy how much this town has developed and changed over the years.

The video shows that Sherwood Forest is a beautiful neighborhood the homes have beautiful architecture and the lawns are well manicured and there's beautiful tree lined streets it's a great place to spend your entire life imagine waking up in this neighborhood.
