This has to be one of your best video's yet! Really enjoyed it. Feels like hanging out with family. We have a house in Eastham and I have never been shellfishing, crabbing, or fishing. Would love to rope my Dad into it this summer as he grew up doing all of this on the cape. I'm too nervous to try it by myself! haha Can't wait to return in Sept. best time of the year in my opinion!

Good to see you buddy. News from here, quiet. Garden harvest is slowing down. Walking the dog has picked up, 95 miles in past 30 days. Have another great grandkid due in a month. Lawn never turned brown this summer. That's news from here.

Hey Phil, Glad to hear from you. Summer goes fast, trying to get it all in. I love all the seasons for different reasons, just wish they would last longer. Fall is my favorite, October birthday, I Cool was named after a Fall flower, chrysanthemum. Fun fact! Good to hear you guys are doing well. Our class shrunk by another one recently.

I use a milk crate with the float (pool noodles) zip tied to the top so the clams stay in the water. Also I have a Lowe’s bucket with a lid, I fill it with salt water and put the clams in the water and let them purge for about an hour before cooking.

Thanks for the great video. I am in the market for a similar boat and you caught my attention to the 188cc. Assuming this is your second season owning it, are you still as enthusiastic about your decision? Any thoughts you could share would be much appreciated. I am in RI and retired but still have the desire to fish and spend time with the grandkids.

I am 64 years old and I was born in Portsmouth. Use to be free to visit Strawberry Bank. At the age of 5 we moved across the river to York Maine. Such a beautiful area. But its changed and has become extremely expensive to live there.

Some pieces of feedback for your video: 1) Snakes are venomous; not poisonous. 2) It would have been more educational if you explained about how endangered these venomous snakes species are in Massachusetts and how these snakes prefer to avoid human interaction. Instead you fed into people's fears with the creepy Halloween music.

Good to see you. I've got a stepdaughter in Maine, she said it has been a wet spring. I'm going to assume there were lots of skeeters. Oh, we see those things driving around in town in Iowa all the time. Anna, good to see you pretty lady. More than pretty, extremely competent in many things as well. That loon, cool. Been a while. Last time I heard a loon was 20 years ago in Wisconsin. Things are well in Iowa. My wife is happy, all the berry bushes planted this spring are in good shape, the garden is planted, I'm still walking the dog, wife and I are going fishing in the morning.

Hey Phil, Alway great to hear from you. Just arrived up in Quebec, old city to a beautiful day yesterday but this morning it’s rainy and cold. Probably do museums and art galleries today. Maybe check out the old fort. Don’t know much about the history of Quebec, but I will figure it out. Good to hear you guys are doing well in Iowa and that the garden made it through the winter. Life is what you make of it and hopefully we’re all fulfilling our dreams. I love the solitude of Maine and the call of the wild. Coyoties, Owls and Loons all give me that one with nature feeling. Hope all is well with you and family. Enjoy your fresh berries, I put them on my cereal every morning.

Hello, Paint only lasts one season, ablative paint is made to wear off with use to always keep boat bottom smooth as silk. It is a lot of work but worth it!

I hope you sanded it all before you use ablative paint. It needs something to grip to. That fiberous stuff needs to be sanded off before you paint over it!

Hi Buddy! Late spring skiing, looks good. Great views. Snow stuck to the trees, clear mountain air. Saw 85% eclipse. Had the glasses and the colander. Read about the traffic. Life is good. Spring here in Iowa. Trees flowering, garden 1/5 planted, 13 new berry bushes planted. Been walking 20+ miles a week. Long walk so far was 4.2 miles with a 20 pound pack. Been playing mandolin and harmonica lately as well. Life is good.

Good to hear Phil, “life is good”. I didn’t plant anything yet and not sure if I will because the rabbits have such ravenous appetites. I’m just traveling seeing new places, filming and posting videos. That’s kind of my life. That was Paul Pacenka in ski film from Oxford, we enjoy our abilities to ski the whole mountain with no reservations. Travel and film is kind of my thing now. Not sure where it will lead me but I like it. Thanks for being such a loyal fan. Stay healthy and keep walking, I hike a lot too

Paul! good to see you. Chris, as always, good to see you. Thanks for showing us around. Out here in Iowa it is a cool wet first week of spring. Potatoes and Garlic have been planted. Lots of seeds and sweet potatoes sprouting indoors. I've got berry bushes ordered from Iowa DNR. They will be here in two weeks. When they get planted it brings the total to 13 fruit trees and 18 berry bushes on our half acre. That goes with the 1,600 square feet of garden and raised beds. We haven't been fishing yet. Maybe this week we start fishing. We finished up the last of 2023 catch about a month ago. Retirement is great. I'm walking the dog about a thousand miles a year lately. Got the garden, the fruit trees and bushes and the grape vine to also keep me busy outdoors. I've started making primitive jewelry out of quartz, granite, amethyst agates, petrified wood and other stones. I've been shaping and polishing stones for two years now.

I had a EW 245 CC with Yamaha F350 and hard top. Very good boat. Who are you kidding though with that Bonita release, that thing was as dead as a doornail You've got at most 30 seconds to get those back in the water before they die. You had that thing out of the water for 5 minutes.

High Anna! Some of my old neighborhood. I lived in that area for a few years. Some beautiful areas, great fishing. I almost hit a moose on Route 25 between Meredith and Center Harbor one icey morning. It was terrifying. Black ice, come around a bend and there it was. I used to cross country ski in the woods by Squam Lake, between routes 3 and what is now 258, but used to by 25A. I had cross country skis and snowshoes here in Iowa but there was never enough snow and time. After getting two feet of snow just a couple weeks later there is barely enough snow for the dog to eat. Dog and I got 2.9 miles today. Then I got the compost piles turned and the grape vine pruned.

Hey Phil, I don’t think Anna pays much attention to the comments. I do know she much prefers nice hotels over my desire to camp so we do both. If she’s happy then I’m going to be happier. No snow below NH but the Mountains have plenty.
