Im sorry but if you can barley put a halter on you should be sticking to basic lessons let alone polo or considering yourself an equestrian.. no hate towards you but still.

Ride hear me out …. Firstly:your not an equestrian I wouldn’t even call my self an equestrian and i own my own horse…. Secondly:go back to normal lesson don’t go straight to polo lesson when u know how to jump and sit ur canter nicely then u csn think about doing polo it will just be easier for u and that horse isn’t spicy at all😅

learn how to spell, also you not wanting to call yourself an equestrian is a personal preference, but anyone who rides horses regularly is seen as an equestrian no matter their level.

I completely agree. No total beginner is that uncomfortable and unnatural around a horse

@@mheys5031 fun fact: not everyone’s the same.. some people take more time to warm up to certain things and that’s okay, horses are big animals

good attempt at canter keep it up it’ll come with time, bless the horse for being so calm with bounces and your “screeching”, maybe it’s polo horses but with horses I rode omg they’d freak out if I started screaming

Please learn to canter in a proper riding lesson, I’m not sure why you are learning to canter as you would in a polo lesson for your first time. Try not to bounce on the horses back aswell it’s not nice for them
@erinkelly6084
@erinkelly6084 Ай бұрын
You do realise she can’t help bouncing it will come with balance nobody can be perfect first time and the horse is absolutely fine they wouldn’t have let her if the horse was uncomfortable
@hanabae_
@hanabae_ Ай бұрын
@lillymae3721 I learned to ride while learning to play polo …she will be just fine. Polo helped my riding. Polo instructors always encourage people who don’t know how to ride and want to play polo that they can learn both. You obviously don’t play polo or you would have known that, try not to get out of your area of expertise ok .

Shouldnt use winter as a weight loss programme, should insure they dont gain to much in summer. Weight ideally shouldnt fluctuate massively between seasons. Maintaining a healthy weight througout with good management is the aim.

This is a great idea for you as a beginner rider. There is nothing more important than writer by a mechanics for every level of riding no matter how old you are or how experienced or educated you are in riding. It’s just unfortunate that this instructor went far to quick with you and didn’t really spend a lot of time on the details and go a little bit slower with you. I’m not sure that the saddle was even the right size for you and she definitely should have lowered the stirps because you’re rear end is all the way in the back of the saddle your Knees were almost too far over the blocks and your lower leg was in a chair seat. It’s too bad that she just didn’t spend more time on the basics with you instead of rushing through. It would be great if you could do another lesson with someone that could really go into detail with you on proper body mechanics and had to move your body with the movement of the horse , and keep your joints in your legs and your lower back supple to absorb and go with the motion of the horse. You should check out Mary Wanless ride with your mind trainer/instructor, Wendy Murdoch, centered riding - Sally Swift and Susan E Harris.
