Thank you for all the great content you put out Mike! Thanks to social media I've had the experience of finding someone I'd like to learn from and being somewhat frustrated as they are located thousands of miles away, limiting contact to either infrequent trips or virtual connections. When I came across The Movement Underground, I was delighted that you and your amazing team are located right here on Long Island. I've learned a whole lot from you, Anthony and Brian yet I know I've only scratched the surface of what TMU has to offer. It's great to know that as long as I am moving above ground, I can count on The Movement Underground for excellent support and guidance as I reach for that next level.

No comments 😱 that's crazy! Being in a last ditch effort to get well enough to live, I do live for these insights & tips. At some point in sickness as both you men found one must look outside common medical knowledge and practices today! I am so grateful for these as I truly believe a working waste management system is the key. Working on myself as I was feeling imminent death and trying to share with others that are desperately ill. It's so unfortunate that often people just don't listen, instead put their lives in the hands of today's routine medical practices procedures and medications that ARE NOT WORKING!!! Soni just wanted to express my gratitude for your sharing this information! Your enthusiasm is infectious and much needed for not only clinicians but also for everyday humans that are suffering and at their wits end in their journey. What I most appreciated in this particular podcast was explaining that regardless of the health or lack of a healthy liver function those drains still need to be cleared...as I presently know someone very close to me that is truly afraid to do any clearing of the lymphatic pathways, because evidently their doctor hasn't yet fractured that in. I will do everything in my power to get this into the hands of that functional clinician.... hopefully I will have help with this from a much higher power. I will be eternally grateful for having "come across" Dr Perry initially leading them into this podcast. Will be subscribing here too, who knows one day I may take a course - even being a simple human...😅 THIS KNOWLEDGE MUST BE SPREAD FAR & WIDE! THANK YOU TWO! Wishing you health peace and an abundance of goodness....💞

Beautiful gym set up! I am curious, you said the prostyle dumbbells allow you to do movements that you couldn’t do with the hex dumbbells. What movements would those be?
@themovementunderground2464
@themovementunderground2464 3 ай бұрын
Things like renegade rows are tough with hex dumbbells. Also like when I’m doing traditional rows I can roll the bell from one side to the other. So maybe it’s not so much exercise wise just preference and the little things…

Can we use these techniques for non-surgical injuries? I see a lot of clients that injure their back or shoulder due to powerlifting/crossfit. I always make sure they see an ortho or PT if it’s beyond me, but I feel that I can do 99% of this. I’m a LMT with specific training in sports related injuries, myofascial decompression, and recovery. Thank you for all you do, Mike. As I always say, you are the best!🎉

@themovementunderground2464
@themovementunderground2464 4 ай бұрын
I’m actually upgrading my tables soon, and going to do a full review video on the new ones…. Re dumbells, it’s really personal preference, but 1 reason is when you do drop them they don’t take weird bounces… also they are the more classic choice, aesthetically pleasing, and more durable.

Hi, i am 11 days post op(24 yo). I'm intrigued and just began after this video with the excercises. I was told to take it easy and not move too much. But your suggestion of light movement in relaxation just makes sense. The lymphatic part is totally news to me, not mentioned at all by my doctors, will begin immediately. Thank you. I have decent extension at about 30 degrees, i'm positive these excercises will help me reach full very soon. The flexion part is what i'm concerned about. In the video Mike looks like he has about 90 degree flexion(@17:00), but in the video description it says he has almost full. I am stuck at 90 degrees myself, no pain, but high tension in the surgical area when attempting to flex. What do I do to improve the flexion? I should add, that I did not have a Tommy John. I had a mayo plate fixation with 8 screws after a transolecranon fracture. If that changes anything about the recovery process

Hey Man! I dont like giving specific advice over comments, but we could absolutely do a virtual consulation if you want to speak about your case and how we might be able to help. You had a different procedure, so while the sweeling control tactics here are absolutely useable, the progression of range of motion and rehab will be different in a case like yours. if you want to set up a virtual consult, head to my website www.themovementunderground.com

We learned in my massage class about plantar fasciitis and associated symptoms and pain. I happened to be suffering from it and we did some posterior tib release work. It literally released my pain in a couple of minutes of work in that area. I haven't suffered from it in the last 4.5 years since. 👍💯😊

I heard from Dr Mike Isratel that the latest research says that BFR barely increased GH and that it doesn’t even compare to the spike you get with sleep. He says the benefits come from the quicker build up of waste products which is correlated to an increased anabolic response. Thoughts on this?
@themovementunderground2464
@themovementunderground2464 5 ай бұрын
The research is hardly conclusive on this. Yes you get a spike of Gh with sleep, but keep in mind you get ebbs and flows of hormones all the time. So maximizing it can’t be a bad thing. Also yes the cellular swelling is also another very popularly studied mechanism for the induction of size and strength responses. Both are viable theories, and the truth is probably a bit of both. One thing the research is clear about is it is a great tool in certain contexts, especially post operative like this case. Thanks for the comment!
