G'day mate, from the Netherlands. I'v been on a lot of tracks in Australia and recommend everybody to experience the stunning outback, on a save en responseble way. Good to see you are well and save after all. But am I right that you needed to be rescued TWICE !? As shown in a other vid on the same track? What a adventure, it may give you some more views youtube. But please put a big warning on your channel: 'this was stupid I'v made twice a big miscalculation and it went totaly wrong; I'm not proud!' A big P on the bike and with no capability to repair te bike on site by yourself, solo going onto these tracks is not to be shown as normal on youtube. I recon good decisions a much better then a device with a rescue button. No wonder you (had to?) leave australia! That may has been the best decicion.

Hey buddy, suggets next trip should be to New Zealand in the spring or Summer -small, compact country with wide range of roads scenery and people. Very friendly and safe. As a Kiwi, Im surprised by what happened to you. Im pretty sure it was a one-off, as Aussies are pretty straight up people

I wouldn't go into Russia these days if my life depended on it (and it just might). Tour decision to include Russia is just asking for trouble. After your Aussie Outback debacle, I thought you might be able to exercise more foresight.

Hello from Norway. I think it is a very immature assessment to go to Russia as a motorbike tourist now. Actually quite provocative. I advice you to change your plans. If it gets you into trouble during your trip or afterwards, blame yourself. Have you even checked if the norwegian-russian border is open? Have otherwise a nice trip trough the nordic countries - and the Baltics. But don't go to Russia.

Hey! A lot of people would say the same, i still have to find out. After having spoken to several russians, Tour operators, visa companies, and some dutch people living in Murmansk. The situation is allright as long as you avoid the south east regions. I am very eager to go and see russia, as i have always heared people there are great. Offcourse care is to be taken. Not without risk, but definetly worth it.
@hanspettereide3313

@@Adventure_Fever The question is not whether you will be safe or not in Russia. I think the russians will welcome you, and use you for what you are worth in their propaganda. The problem is the signal you are sending out by going there, and so to say "acknowledge" Russia as a "nice" country worth visiting. Which it today is not. I think Russia should be isolated as much as possible by people from the west, due to their aggresive war against Ukraine. Going there on a "friendly" motorbike-trip, as if nothing has happened, is an assessment I find shockingly naive, ignorant and disrespectful to the ukranian people and the vast majority of nations and people that try to stop the russian aggression.

You said, “There has been a series of NUCLEAR TESTS there. That’s another COOL thing about this highway” There is nothing cool about detonating nuclear weapons. If you could read the book “MARALINGA” A chilling expose of Our nuclear shame and the betrayal of our troops and country written by Frank Walker. Your from Norway. I find it hard to believe you could think nuclear tests are cool. You might want to sit down with an older generation in your country and discuss their thoughts on the 3000 times bigger than Hiroshima Soviet Tzar bomb, nuclear fall out and radio active waste. I don’t condone or know what Alexe’s motives were. If you read the book you might understand why more than one nation of people might be very angry with you.

I’m sorry to hear of your unpleasant experience and assault by an Aussie … but not surprised, I’ve known 100s of "nice" blokes throughout my life … and seen them change into nasty cruel aggressive and violent towards others, even against their suppose-to-be mates, friends, family members, triggered and turned, when under stress and drinking excessively … alcoholism and violence, all too common, sad but try … you happen to have met one … I meet and work with many through my profession … and since 14yo of age when I started working, mostly in rural jobs amongst men usually several years older, I’ve learnt had to recognise these behaviours and traits 1st hand … yobboe, great fun guys, until they’re not … anyway take care, be well, and learn from your unfortunate experience… we’re not all like that bloke, but they do exist, more so in some parts of Australia than others 😉 … as an aside, when you get back on your travels … Romania and the Eastern European would be interesting, I have a really good friend in Cluj-Napoca, if you ever get that way 😉, and as for Sth America, Columbia, I have another in Bogota 😉👍🏼 cheers pal …

Similar thing happened to me when I broke out a bad news to a former colleague in relation to his upcoming redundancy at work. The next day he rang me and whilst he was drunk he insulted and threatened me for almost an hour. I later realised that he’s suffering from some mental disorder. You probably faced a similar person. Don’t be disappointed, obviously not everyone is the same.
