Thanks, John - I've been fancying playing this lately and wanted a tip on the intro, which you gave in full measure.

These are good lessons for sure. I can only play Let it Be and a few other real easy ones cause I'm a lousy player but for those of you a little better this is the best instructor you could find on you tube.

It will definitely take me a few dozen times to get through the entire song, but never mind the bullocks. You are much appreciated for your stellar tutorial.

One thing that helped me learn this is realizing that the solo is over the chords of the "La-di-da" section of the song - except that the first half of that section is repeated TWICE, and then onto the second section to finish the solo. (In other words, the first section's chords are: Am, Am7, D7, F; the second section's chords are Am, Am7, D7.)

If you're talking for solo accompaniment, sure drop the left hand. I think there's a certain amount of pride that comes from just being able to play the full counterpoint part, even if it is sped up for the record and not the "true" original form of it.
