there's no way to lock anything. It is what it is. Use button toppers, put cursor into the corner, that's all you can do. I wish there were a way to lock the whole unit, like other keyboards/processors do it.

Im using it with a tonex pedal (doesn't have a fx loop) and many different single pedals...is there a way i could use it mono before the tonex and stereo after the tonex by only switching?

Eric. Totally with you with Favorites. What would be equally helpful is to have favorite presets that can be referenced in different sets without needing to make a copy. So you can keep an area for experimenting and simply point to the preset in whatever location makes sense.

This explains certain behaviors when I ask for details and they are unable to provide them. That is a good tip about asking for pictures. They should never have issues sending any additional pictures. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to send the money virtually IF sent through the app used for selling the product. Offerup has worked for me in that regard. I don't know about Facebook, but I haven't used Marketplace in years...I will say whenever I sell something (in general, whether Craiglist or whatever) and there are many people after it, I always give it to the first person who expresses a want and a readiness to buy it. If that falls through, I offer to the next person in line. Usually people are good about whether or not they're 100% signed onto something, though I also set ultimatums if there's some wishy washiness detected. My ultimatums come from honesty and with mindfulness for the next person in line. I don't ever leave people in the dark. That's just good customer service and I would expect the same when I buy. On that note, I NEVER require people to send me money ahead of time to reserve something just as I wouldn't have them pay me days after I gave them the product. Again, I do first come first served, unless of course I advertised something as OBO...in either case, I always communicate with all serious interested parties since I never know who is a scammer and who is an actual buyer until they show up as a real person holding appropriate payment. Honesty is the best policy. Scammers suck. Don't ever reserve! And use cash only! (Unless shipping the item through the app the product is being sold on--with a mind for being paranoid if it's sold through Marketplace...)

I went ahead and ordered one (supposed to be here tomorrow) because it's only $120 and I already have a loaded pickguard with alnico v pickups and a wiring harness with upgraded pots and thick braided wires laying around and a set of locking tuners that are unassigned as of right now, so why not? I kinda have to. I got the 2 tone sunburst one. I'll probably just keep the stock trem because I'm not much of a whammy bar guy anyway, but I'll still leave it floating. I kinda like that it only has one string tree and the slim headstock. Traditionally, the cheaper ones have two trees and the fat 70s headstock, so it gives it a little bit more classic look. I'll probably swap the tree out for a roller tree. I've heard good things about these, I have to imagine Fender's profit margins are extremely low, but it's a good way to take back some business from the cheap copycats. I mean, who's gonna pay $90 for a Glarry now when they can get a real Strat for $30 more? This will be Strat #6 in my current lineup. I also have a Fojill mahogany light relic Strat, two Squier Affinity Strats, a DIY kit built Strat and a 2007 MIM Fender Standard Strat, all of which I heavily modded or restored.

You mentioned Firefly, I do love my blue FF338. Beautiful guitar. Though I did get some humbucker size P90s to replace those microphonic pickups with. They sound great on my Les Paul Special, so I figured they'd sound good on a 338 too. Eventually I'll stop procrastinating and get them installed. 🤣

I finally got a helix last week, I understand about mixing, but it still can be intimidating. I also have 2 line 6 DR 50. One head and one 212. I live the sounds that come out of it, realizing that it’s still modeling put through a great tube power amp. I haven’t sold mt hd 500x or hd pro x I guess until I’m confident I can do it all eith helix. Yesterday I actually found the outputs and their controls just by clicking the end of (the line?) still learning what everything is called . I’m 70 years old when I was playing out when BOC. Was super popular and Richie might still be a twinkle in pa eyes, my whole rig was a 1964 black face fender dual Showman with twin 15 “ JBL D130 speakers, I guess if you had the D140s you had the bass amp. lol we didn’t know the meaning of vintage back than. Anyway, Richie I’ve been following you and yours for years, you’re a gifted musician and engineer and a great help with line 6. But I’m curious, never say you sharing a video with a line 6 DT series amp. Have you ever tried one? Sad that line 6 dumped them, ttyeky the best amp line 6 ever made and truely INHO one of the greatest amps ever made although its got its own niche because even though its sound is fantastic, it’s rarely its own sound, it’s modeled from another amp. Still I love them own two thinking of getting a DT 25 to set up a wet dry wet rig. I don’t know if the L6 system can handle 3 and 4 amps like the HD system dic, the DT system was installed into the Helix firmware a couple years after its birth. Great kit, take care. 😊

TOUGH FACTS: This will piss off some people - but poplar is lighter and sounds warmer, like mahogany. Buy one of these and swap the electonics, wiring and tuners... and you have a better sounding Strat than even some of the Mexi's. Throw in a good HSS prewired kit, and it's suddenly a REALLY broad axe, for studio leads OR rhythms. A lot of people forget that wire quality and pots make good pickups sound and perform better. Especially when dealing with digital amps that need the sensitivity of a better input, (as opposed to live tube amps where you can kind of just crank up and push through). OPINION: More guitars should be made out of poplar.

I bought a Squier Affinity Strat for $200 (new) anout 5 years ago. I was shocked at how comfortable the neck was, the quality of sound, and most of all the tuning stability, which shocked me. Pickup switch went out and I got that fixed and a piece of paint chipped off the bottom inside that no one can see. My whole cost is still under $300 and I have gotten so much enjoyment out of it. Huge fan and I also had very low expectations. The Indonesian factory seems to really have come into its own.

Carrying the weight? For the first time in my life im showing up to gigs with a backpack that holds my helix, my guitar and a coffee. My load in and set ups have never been easier lol DONT FORGET TO SWITCH THE LINE OUT TO "MIC" IF YOU'RE RUNNING THE HELIX INTO A MIXER. SET BACK TO LINE FOR POWER AMPS. VERY IMPORTANT. LOCATED IN GLOBAL SETTINGS, SECOND PAGE, SECOND SETTING FROM THE LEFT.
