Years ago I was gifted a handmade quilt and I’ve always wanted to make my own. Now, thanks to this video I have! And I’ve had an amazing time doing it and I’ve ordered the supplies to start my next one! I learnt so much and the energy in this video is kind, calm and cheerful. Thank you to you both for helping me achieve something I’ve been wanting to do for years and years 🩷

ladt / last😮
@lindaelizabethcole36755 күн бұрын
When increasing , I always increase into first stitch , like you do , but then knit to last two stitches , increase again into first of two stitches and always knit the ladt stitch , this gives a more assemetric finish , ie., even on both sides , looks neater and if you knit first and last stitch of every row , also gives a neat finish , and much easier to sew up , as you have knobbles at row ends , easy to put your darning (blunt) needle through each knobble on either side of your knitted garment , making it an easier and less boring task 😊😊😊😊😊😊

Just finished this quilt! I’m a beginner quilter and new to sewing machines altogether but with this tutorial I felt confident enough and gave it a go. The quilt turned out beautiful, no perfect by any means but to me that’s a little reminder that it was homemade. It’s gonna be a gift for the newest baby in my family. Thank you

I used to think that quilting was on another skill, level. Like engineering skill level! I thought that I could never achieve the ability and knowledge to sew a quilt because quilts have always looks so complex to me. Well this year thanks to this single video, I have embarked on making a quilt and im about to put the binding on it and wow! I NEVER thought quilting could be so easy! I have sewn clothes which are 4d and a quilt is 2d so it’s WAY easier than making clothes! I’ve really had a mind shift and I’ve surprised myself with how it is turning out! Thank y’all so much for inspiring me and encouraging me to make my very first quilt!!

Can I do this in rib and then Garter stitch? Would all the instructions still be the same for shaping and such? I'm new to knitting. Sorry if this is a silly question. X

I have an 8 month old basset hound, shes gaining steady weight and my guess is she will be 50+ pounds by cold season. Is there a way to adapt this to her size? Absolutely love the sweater and tutorial! You explain everything so well and keep the work visable to follow along throughout ❤

Hello again Debbie, I have made 7 pairs of these slipper socks with 12 ply wool and they are great! I have made them all in the colours of our Australian Rules Football teams, haha. But, the 2 sizes you offer are not suitable for an adult man, i.e., my son! Is there a pattern for an adult male, OR, how do I increase the size using the current pattern? thank you :)

At 1:43 you say "the sewing machine can go straight over it [the pin]", I did this and then after hours of trouble shooting realized the needle had been blunted by doing that - it didn't look blunt but after changing the needle, I was able to sew properly again. DO NOT advise people to sew over pins!!!!!!

As a knitter that has tried to teach people to knit, I'm glad to discover that saying "Well you can do that if you want, but you don't have to" about almost everything is a cross-craft phenomenon. It's all jazz! (Really fantastic tutorial, btw!)
