I'm glad to see that you two noticed that the "Dick & Bettina" arch over her driveway had the "Dick" removed (pun intended). Most reactors don't see that and whine and moan because they want to know what Chuck did next. Some folks have no vision! I, like you two, want to believe that he went after that young lady, and they lived happily ever after.

The enemy commander can raise the dead. Let's put everyone in the crypt. You'd think that someone, at least Jon or Sam would have raised some concerns.

Well, if Theon had gotten killed back then, he wouldn't have been around for this, and Bran would have died. As Gandalf said about Gollum, he still had a part to play. To my mind, though, I do think redeeming yourself by having to continue living is better than dying. Redemption by death is overrated.

my problem about the crypt isn't cause the used it as protection its cause most the corpses whould be too decayed to be risen and they are in mofu stone coffins. hell the stuck one is a wooden box and took it to kings landing and it didnt break out how the hell the brake out of stone

A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms is, imho, the best episode of the season. The scenes around the fireplace were fire. The title, "A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms" is an homage to some *REALLY* cool Westeros History and Lore, *AND* Brienne's own family history, which was not told in the H&L specials. Brienne is a descendant of one of the most noble knights of the Seven Kingdoms, Ser Duncan the Tall. As far as we know Ser Duncan was never actually knighted, yet went on to become Lord Commander of the King's Guard for King Aegon Targaryen Fifth of his Name. In George R.R. Martin's short stories, "The Tales Of Dunk And Egg" Dunk is a traveling Hedge Knight who wanders Westeros with his loyal squire "Egg", whose true secret identity, Prince Aegon Targaryen, is known only to Dunk, Egg, and Egg's father, Prince Maekar Targaryen. Through a series of unfortunate events, young squire Aegon, who was never actually in line for the Iron Throne, becomes King Aegon Targaryen Fifth of his Name when Egg's older brother, Aemon, turns down the throne due to his oath a Maester of the Citadel assigned to the Night's Watch. Brienne and Pod's relationship is a direct reflection of Dunk and Egg's relationship. The title, "A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms" is also the working title of the live-action adaptation of "The Tales Of Dunk And Egg" currently in production by HBO, and started filming this month. On a side note; one of the first things the young King Aegon did was to sentence a man named Lord Brynden Rivers to the Wall. Brynden was the bastard son of King Aegon the Fourth and served as Master of Whisperers and Hand of the King to two previous kings. Bloodraven had broken an oath of protection and beheaded the man that protection had been sworn to. LORD Bloodraven traveled to the Wall with Aemon, they were close, as Bloodraven was Aemon's great uncle. Lord Bloodraven served several years as lead ranger, then Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, before being lost beyond the Wall roughly 75 years before being found in a cave by Brandon Stark, Jojen and Mira Reed, and a gentle giant called Hodor, who, btw, was also a direct descendant of Ser Duncan the Tall. That's where Hodor and Brienne both inherit their size.

People always ask "why does Bran sit there and leave to use the ravens to see during the battle"? They seem to forget that when he first learned how to use the 3rd eye at some point the Knight King became aware of his presence shocking Bran and that was when the Knight King decided to find Bran and "unlive" him, Bran even said he was coming there to "unlive" him. Everytime Bran uses the 3rd eye the Knight King is drawn to him, Bran the flame and the Knight King the moth. So when he used the 3rd eye during the battle he was trying to draw the Knight King to the area where in his visions he saw Arya destroy the Knight King and when after he told Theon he was a good man he said "Thank You" because he knew that Theon had delayed the Knight King and his Generals long enough for Arya to arrive.

"So Arya sneaks up on the Night King and stabs him and that's the end of winter." "Oh, it's over?" "Yep! All done. So moving on..." "Wait wait wait. So that's just it?" "Yep. That's it. So anyway..." "But we've been building toward this for 8 seasons. It's just done with a quick stab?" "It is. Yeah." "So what was with the Night King's connection to Bran or that weird symbol that kept popping up or the fact that..." "Listen sir. It's over. We gotta move on." "Oh, I just feel a little empty inside. I feel like this could have been fleshed out more." "Well there's no time. There's only a few episodes left." "You can have more episodes if you want." "I just don't see any other way other than rushing it." "You can do it in more episodes." "Oh damn this short season!" -Pitch Meeting

So Ghost gave the warning of the dead in Season 1, but it was fire that killed it. Summer was taken down by the dead. As for the Blue Eyes Melissandre hint--I totally got it then, but I've read and ArYA has always been my favorite character, so I was looking for it. I believe actually, that the Faceless men saw a prophecy and sent first Syrio Forell who "on death" became Jaquen Hagar to lead Arya to where she would learn the skills she needed because she would save the world.

Season 1: "Winter is coming." Season 2: "Winter is coming." Season 3: "Winter is coming." Season 4: "Winter is coming." Season 5: "Winter is coming." Season 6: "Winter is coming." Season 7: "Winter is coming." Season 8 Episode 3: "That was it. Winter is over." The fans: "WHAT? I waited 7 years for a 30 minute battle that I couldn't see that ended with a quick stab?" Think of how epic this could have been. Think about the dead overrunning Winterfell and everyone falling back and defending each of the cities we've seen over the years. Think about characters we recognize rising as the undead and fighting for the Night King. Westeros blanketed in corpses. Until the game of thrones truly looks like a childish game. And finally, with a last ditch effort, after countless sacrifices are made, the Night King is struck down and all across the continent, walking corpses drop to the earth. Humanity survives, but barely. Nope. Instead, we get "Whatever. Some stuff happens. Let's hurry this up. I am SO done with this stupid show. I wanna go write a Netflix series that no one will watch."

Love you guys, but Arya killing the night king was the worst. She isnt part of the northern plot for pretty much the entire series. It not being Jon is a tragedy. The other terrible thing about this episode is that the stakes are now lowered. Fighting for all human survival and then fighting over a chair? Disappointing. Love me some octobers though. Id buy yall a beer.

Very impressed with your reaction or rather no reaction to the Arya Gendry scene. So many squirmed and acted like Arya was still 12 years old. Same groups of people who loved seeing Arya stab hearts, slit throats, and poison a whole House. Yay Arya! But when she shared an intimate moment, the Puritans came out.. Oh scandalous!!

Theon's death hit me the hardest. Firstly, he wasn't some orphan peasant boy. He was a prince that was kidnapped by the Starks, yet nobody sympathizes with that? I get that they were at war, but so were the Lannisters. So I don't understand how people can be angry at the Lannisters for keeping Sansa but Theon is supposed to be a perfect Stockholm syndrome kidnap victim because it's the Starks that did the kidnapping? Hypocrisy! (Sidenote, the writers dropped the ball cuz they could've explored that similarity between the 2 even further--especially since both were molded by their abductors. No one but Sansa could truly understand how he'd be in turmoil) Then we know how the rest of his story goes... yes, he's forgiven, BUT why does he need to be forgiven? Did anyone apologize to him for holding him hostage all those years?? And after everything he did to get back in the good graces of this family, his reward is sacrificing his life for them? And the fandom still doesn't put the enough respek on his name! Smh
