8 month on and how are you getting on with your DLM464 ? I'm over in the UK and last week i bought the DLM460 , pretty much the same mower but the grass extraction hole is half the size . Loving the mower so far but did go hard on it for my first use . Next cut is next week so we'll see how we go 👍
@oojagapivy6 күн бұрын
@@jompy151 I love it except for the slope of my yard. I’ve also bent the blades hitting bamboo stumps down the back. It’s heavy but works great.
@jompy1516 күн бұрын
@oojagapivy Yes they are heavy but having owned plastic framed mowers in the past and having them crack i'd rather pay extra and deal with the extra weight of the steel frame , that bamboo sounds a bugger , just think what it would have done to a plastic frame mower 🤔 Yes those slopes in your gargen look serious and i bet the camera doesn't do them justice either ! Like you i decided not to go for the self propelled version due to more weight , added expense and my garden only being small as you can see in my video if you get chance to watch it . Next time i think i'll just go over the garden once on height setting 3 and see how that goes ! Take care 👍

@oojagapivy4 ай бұрын
If you mean so that it releases the brakes when you release the handbrake lever, I think from memory there is one or two springs down along the rear axle which pulls back on the cable to give slack to the drums.

"The water finds its level". Hmmm...I thought that we lived on a spinning ball with 'curved' water not 'level' water.....
@oojagapivy4 ай бұрын
We do. If my hose was long enough to travel hundreds of kms, the height of water in the tube would be the same ‘level’ above sea level, because that’s how gravity on a spinning ball works. It’s measuring from the centre of our globe. Water does find its own level when it’s confined to a ‘container’. It flows downstream when it isn’t confined.

your on the level, watch out for trapped bubbles, which I am sure you know about, I keep my one stored. in pitch black, or you can get " pond algae " growing in the water, which creates gas bubbles, which stops it working properly. if you put the ends together, and mark the water level on both, you don't have to look at the other end, if it is out of sight, or around the corner etc there great, I have been using them for over 50 years, for setting up roof gutters levels, to get the " fall " correct.
