With Valorant now on Xbox, it's weird that CS:2 doesn't plan to come out on console. I know CSGO didn't perform extremely well on console but I feel like the console audience has now grown more towards these type of games.

you can actually play online through insignia. it does require a modded xbox though (but it's a much easier task now than it was when i did it)

loved this game back in the day and was way better and played and felt nicer than the csgo port to console which was a terrible idea and played bad was hard to control and aim never got to play online on this one though never had xbox live for the original xbox was super fun with bots though and always loved half life and cs games!

The whole predetermined recoil patern mechanic that CS is known for just doesn't lend itself well to thumbstick controls. I can also imagine the built in acceleration of thumbsticks makes movement really awkward feeling. I'm saying all of this from a PC standpoint. If this is the only context of CS you played it might just have felt natural.

this port is how i first experienced counter-strike. before then i watched counter-strike gameplay on this gaming channel only available in hd from dish. gearbox was kind of decent at ports.

Man, this game brings back memories. I played this so much when I was young. Heck, I'd get up super early before school to play a map or two. There was a map called Miami that I mostly played. Me and my friends figured out how to glitch out of the map by stacking on each other on a desk in one of the rooms. As well, throwing a flash bang in a certain spot in CT spawn that would flash everyone on the map. Good times.

I played hundreds of hours of this back when it released. I don't actually remember the game having any matchmaking. It was all server browser based. My dad and I made a ton of friends online playing it and they would host public 10 players every Friday.

I actually have CSGO on Xbox SX. People still play online, and play so hard you'd think they're in a tournament. Playing Counter Strike GO on Xbox competitively is lame as fuck since it's free on PC and it's actually supported. Unless you owned the game on 360 or have a disc, you have to go out of your way to get it.

All software must be reccognized as property at law. There should always be an option to pay a specific price to own the right to play a game. If it is an online-only game and severs are shut down, source code or tools to create local servers must be made available. We wouldn't let companies get away with letting them build cars that don't function anymore if servers are shut down, why should games be much different.

I was JUST thinkin while scrolling through the Xbox store looking at all the older titles, some like Battlefield 3 and such, that are soon to be gone forever. There are some things I believe that deserve to be preserved forever, not slowly forgotten entirely over time.

For me games are the only kind of memories that you can experience many times in the exact same way as you did in the first time.

if I find a way to play an old game publishers can't be asked to revive (aside from licencing bs), I don't see it as big of a crime the real crime is playing the pc version of nightfire over the console version
