I've had my Tab s9U for almost a year now and no complaints here💪🏾

I’m thinking of getting the iPad Pro 13-inch 256GB before the year is over. I’m over due for one I’m rocking the 2020 11-inch iPad Pro.

I think the new iPad is the best extension of the Mac. It's a perfect stand alone light-weight computer, limited by the apps. Most pro apps do not offer full functionality on the iPad.

Samsung should just do an A sized drawing tablet with similar specs to this one and it would be perfect

What are your favourite games on the iPad? -- I actually ended up buying a 512gb+5g 12.9" M1 iPad for £570 (35% of the price!), it has a much nicer display than the 13" Air with the 120hz MiniLED and better speakers than both while the 14" Pro is £1700 for a similar spec, yikes!

Just picked up the 13” Air (to replace a 2020 IPP with cracked screen) with the education discount and $100 GC.

In time , I will buy myself another basic ipad..... and another galaxy tab ultra.... the ipad for things like simply piano, ios works different with this app..... but for watching movies, using it as a workstation I prefer the tab ultra....the aspect ratio of the ipad just sucks....no matter how big it is.....but that is just my opinion.

You know I'm all in with Samsung, but my sister is 100% iOS. Her birthday is in October and I have, in the past, gifted her with a Pro (a very long time ago!), and an Air (also a very long time ago). She mentioned that both devices, though they are still working, have definitely slowed down and have developed a few other issues, so I am trying to get a jump on what's out there now so I can start saving my $$$ to get her an Apple Store gift card. She lives in Honolulu and has an Apple Store fairly close to her, so I think a new toy will be the perfect gift for her 72nd birthday! :)

I still don't understand how the heck you are holding the ultra with one hand like a phone. Lol . I wanted a bigger screen so I could watch videos, so I upgraded samsung tab a 10.1 inch 2019 to the s8 Ultra 14.6 inch last November. I saw the s9 ultra for $1100 at the time , I wasn't going to pay $1000 for a tablet, so I got the next best thing the s8 ultra for $699 but got it for $599 because I had a $100 gift card. For years since the early 90s, I wanted to try out an apple computer, but never did , because it was and still is expensive. If I want to do hands-on productive things, then I just use my computer. FYI, I'm watching this on my s8 ultra.

I bought my daughter the M4 13" iPad Pro as a graduation present. The other day, since she's had it for a few weeks, I asked her if she liked it better than the 12.9" M1 iPad Pro. She said, and I quote, "They're the same." I told her about the tandem OLED display, how the M4 beats every tablet out there in processing power and so on. She just hunched her shoulders and went back to watching whatever she was watching 😂. It was then, that I knew that despite it's Pro and optimized applications, meant nothing to her, lol. Hopefully in college with a more advanced academic workload she may come to appreciate it's advantages over the M1, but I have a sinking feeling she probably won't. That being said, it is similar for me, going from the S8 Ultra to the S9 Ultra. I push my tablets a lot more than my daughter, like video editing family videos, and gaming. But the experience was basically the same as the S8. Right now, for media consumption I'm using the Leia Lume Pad 2 3D tablet. Your video in 3D was incredible. Thanks for the thorough review!

They have lumafusion for the galaxy tablets now. I haven't tried editing a video on one of those Samsung tablets yet. I can try some time, as long as I can edit off external drives.

Excellent comparative video as always, Ivan😀. I have the iPad Pro 13-inch M4 and the Samsung s9 Plus(I didn't buy the Ultra because I don't like a notch on the top of the screen ruining the view). I use the iPad for reading content and the Samsung for watching content.

Great video! I have the S9FE plus and i really like it, I have tried the s9plus and ultra i think the s9 fe plus gives me more eye comfort when reading at night besides i'm only using this tablet to send out emails watching some movies writting and doing regular stuff.

The writing experience is a lot better on the s9 ultra. Even using a paperlike screen protector for the iPad still doesn't match the superior feel of the s9 ultra. With that said, either is good. One is not strictly better than the other (screen display is too close enough where it shouldnt sway the buyer). If using just for tablet stuff (no professional editing stuff) then I favor the s9. But both are good and you will be happy with either. I like both. But if I can only have one then s9 without hesitation. M4 has no meaning when both operate at the same speed in my eyes for everyday basic use.

Is Samsung Galaxy S9 FE plus waterproof as well?

At the end of the day, I still prefer the iPad Pro. The suite of optimized Pro apps like Procreate + the powerful chip means I can rock this for 5+ years easily and it’ll feel just as fast as day one. The S9 Ultra is no slouch either though the Android Tablet experience app wise is just abyssmal. Samsung tries its best to mitigate the negative experience through One UI like windowed apps and Dex but they can only do so much when all you can do with it are open the same blow-up phone apps, just abit wider. (I tried Lumafusion on Android and it’s a stuttery, laggy mess compared to the iOS version)

Samsung is my personal favorite my tab s8 is the most fun tablet I've ever used . Trust me guys the tab s9 is superior and more fun to use. One of the best I've owned . It comes w s pen in box , is water proof, can do higher level emulation , no limitations, better multi tasking , has micro SD card, has open operating system etc. Also apple got that apple pencil idea from Samsung

Is simple, if you have iphone , you can go with ipad. If you have a samsung, you should go S9. both are really greeat. but they exceed when they are in their own ecosystem.

I have both, iPad pro m4 and samsung tab s9 ultra. Both are great but in the end I use the iPad pro more than the tab ultra. Somehow it’s less comfortable and intuitive for me, personally. I tried working from the tab ultra but ended up having to open my macbook every time. I guess it’s back to personal choice.

I was going to get this, that screen is nice and big, but, ended up with the 11" iPad Pro M4. Wanted more starting storage so I went with that. I don't think 2TB of Storage is necessary on an iPad, theres not much you can do with that, it's not like you can run Premiere Pro on the iPad Pro or Air anyway. They're all expensive no matter which iPad you get, they do have the basic one for $350, but 64GB of storage is measly in 2024. They upsell you to get the 256GB model. $500 for that, plus you'll need at least a case for it.

The way i use a tablet is never about me needing the fastest soc available it's about features, storage, and cost (including accessories). It's why I've never liked iPads. The user experience sucks imo, and storage/accessories are just stupid expensive.

I already have a Tab S7 but my wife hogs it, i like to use it in my car with my mobile hotspot on. I think the A9+ will work just find for me.

I still believe the Tab S9 Ultra is better than the iPad Pro. Dex is still much better than Stage Manager. I will say the iPad Pro is using a chip that is used in the MacBook & Mac computers. The S9 is using a chip for a mobile device.

I appreciate this video, I was trying to figure out which would be more budget friendly and suitable for my 10 yr old.. and it seem like the A9 will do just fine..

The Samsung S9 is so much better in many aspects, even the battery life can last hours longer than the iPad. The only thing I hate about it is the aspect ratio. It feels so weird using it when not in desktop mode, it's like I'm holding a huge phone screen. Apple definetly rocks the aspect ratio with their iPads. I just wish someday Samsung will have a tablet with a similar aspect ratio to the iPad. But for now, I'll go with the iPad.

Everyone needs to really think about their daily needs in a tablet. Personally, I've owned iPad Pro in the past and currently own an iPad 10th gen with 256gb of storage, plus a Tab S9. They both fit my needs very well, maybe I'll upgrade the iPad later for the new Pencil Pro and an iPad Air, but for now I like the power of my Tab S9. If I didn't have the Tab S9, I'd probably go with the iPad Pro. I watch almost everything you post, I don't comment, but like this one so much I just wanted to say Great Job
