Picked one up last week. I shot 500 rounds using blazer ammunition and had no issues, fails, jams etc. I feel bad you had a bad experience. Maybe you just had a lemon that was missed during QC.

Yes, there were a lot that got missed but hopefully the issue has been resolved.

What's occurring is failure to return to battery. Sometimes so slight, that you can barely tell the slide is not in full battery. I field-stripped mine. I noticed the polymer was slightly too high at the rear of the frame, near/above the beavertail area. I used a fine nail file and lightly sanded down the polymer just a small amount. I then felt the entire frame looking for raised areas, and rough areas on the black polymer. When I found them, I very lightly sanded them as well. Cleaned, lubed and re-assembled. 1,000 rounds later, not a single failure with 18 or 21-round factory mags.

Thankfully, honest reviewers. Finally. I’ve had same issues as have many others. Yes they are sending me a new spring. It won’t fix the fun denting the top of bullets and failure to load. Only 10? Out and out liars. I’ll never buy another Canik.

Have a tradition series MR920 (Texas Star Cerakote) and it's a nice little glock 19 clone. Tradition series need a trigger/sight swap and the guide rod is a bit squeeky but otherwise it runs well.

@@LeadslingerOutdoors I've had my eyes on their XR920/DR920 war poets and comped P models. Plan to get one and swap out the trigger for a Timney Alpha since that trigger is flawless in my G17 Gen5. For the price, I have yet to find a glock or glock clone that will beat it out of the box. I thought the TTI Combat would. Not even close, lol - but I'll wait on one that isn't defective for a final ruling on that. Definitely like the SS brand, their machine stippling/texture is a great pattern to follow when running Taron grips. That's pretty much what I did with my G17, just carefully copied it with a far more aggressive grip-tape style grip and it's no doubt the better feeling gun between the two. Honestly, I still prefer the G17 over the CZ, but the CZ is brand new and completely unmodified. The glock is just lighter and has way more control. That said, the CZ is obviously a higher-end and better-machined gun. Both greats, just different styles.

Word on the street. From other youtubers. If you contact canik and complain they send you a new recoil spring the gun doesn't naturally come with and this spring will fix the issues. Contact canik about it and complain.

Which is terrible customer service. But that's always been the hidden con of the canik experience. Hasn't it?

Bought one for $1000 Heavily defective, wouldn't even cycle ammo regardless of the type. Light strikes, jams, failure to return to battery. Canik is happy to give you a RAN # and a fedex print out to mail it in for repairs, except they mail it back claiming it was test fired and it was still fucked the fuck up bad. So, very displeased we request a refund, they offer a replacement. Our FFL dealer is still waiting for it... even though they said it would be fast, this process has been going on for months... ZERO enjoyable range time for the $1,100+ invested (grabbed a couple extra extended mags before they mailed back a defective gun, now I'll never buy anything from Canik again) As for it being "snappy" and "smooth" ... just, no. It's a modified glock for all intensive purposes. Make sure to subscribe & like / comment guys... these guns are not cheap and this hobby cannot fail!

@@LeadslingerOutdoors Don't expect a tracking number on the return, either. Requires a signature yet they don't even give you a tracking number. They swapped the spring on my dads, might have touched up the barrel lip/throat a bit and it reduced the number of issues but it still had A LOT. Repaired one that wasn't repaired was mailed in two weeks ago, they said it would be really fast - we keep checking with our local FFL and they haven't heard anything from them since they sent them a copy of their FFL. They actually had the nerve to say "We just haven't taken one off the line yet." and it's been over a week since then. Very disappointing, and expensively so. My custom glock 17 runs so much better, and my dad grabbed a CZ Shadow 2 Compact and that thing is a work of art that won't fail. I wanted to use this in competition. Now I'll be lucky to get one that works.

I didn’t see this update video so posted on other video but it’s the extractor spring. I clipped 1 1/2 coils from it and zero RTB issues after several hundred rounds since doing this. I’m confident this is the issue.

Forward placed charging handle doesn't sound like a horrible idea, but considering it wise to pull the rifle into your shoulder with your off hand, maybe not the best idea unless you don't use the charging handle as a foregrip, whoch seems counterintuitive

look sir i dont believe those malfunctions were caused by dummy rounds just admit that it looks cool and is a neat concept ergonomically but clearly isnt fleshed out enough to just be plopped onto another platform. I feel like a purpose built rifle for this kind of thing could be really good but you would probably have to give up the whole AR look because i think you said it is a new gun in which case damn they messed up big time 😭 theres a reason pump action rifles look like shotguns because of how pumping the action in a normal semi auto is like adding an extra step for malfunction to begin with on a gun that already has more of a chance to malfunction than say a bolt action rifle it seems like a way to just get money tbh i have never heard of bilson arms sounds like if my grandpa made a rifle company
