Wow! He absolutely nailed one of the most difficult Baroque trumpet concertos ever written. It's in a crazy high key. He hit all of the high notes with authority and grace--no small feat given the often large intervals between notes. I wish there were more excellent live orchestral recordings of this concerto. This may be the only one on KZfaq. The rest have piano accompaniment

Wow, Aleksander! Thanks for sharing this glimpse into your new recording. You play with a deep and rich sound, which is absolutely necessary for all those notes to speak with strength, authority, and clarity. I had no idea Allen Vizzutti wrote and played this with alternate fingerings - 1 and 2 on 2 and 3 - but it makes such sense! I look forward to hearing your recording of this and other pieces!

Thanks for kind words! As far as I know Allen Vizzutti played it with normal fingering. It's much easier for me to play it that way but it's literally the only moment in trumpet repertoire I did switching fingers.
