It's interesting because I've never seen a big table clock with fusee. By the way, did the fusee chain come from a real bicycle?

Hurrah! what a pleasant sound is the sound of musical sequence at every quarter hour and hour strike as chord strokes on tuned set of bells! Some quartz clocks contains electronically recorded and programmed circuit board of sound chips connected to speaker that imitates the same. Either struck on real chimes like this or electronically imitated by some quartz clocks I like chiming clocks. Quartz chiming clocks are meant for some poor people who wants to enjoy the clock chimes and not advisable for rich people who are rich enough to buy these types of true chiming clocks.

When our time was more important to us ,we gave it time. Now all seems instant and time is global not local. Time is now to re-analogue ,rewind , relax and rediscover where we are. What's the weather forecast? Look out the window.

Beautiful. It has a planatery mechanism between music drum and strike drum. Please post a video of the working mechanism. Very rare

I have a Ridgeway model 225, date 8/27/86, Movement CC-1161-853-114-CM. It will not stay in beat, I have found that the anchor escapement is loose on the shaft. I can rotate the anchor slightly and it will run just fine, then all of the sudden it will slip and get out of beat again. What is an acceptable way to secure it to the shaft? Thank you Hager Hay

Now these bells sound better still slow ghtly too much power butbNOT BAD you can hear each note more clearly without running into the next note whilstvthevlastvonevis finishing still not good but a bit better
@hugopetrus346 жыл бұрын
Too much power on th chime train it needs letting down the bllscare played far too fast and each belkscindividual tone is lost in a general multi sound of Several bells tones played all at once the tube bing lost in a NOISE not a proper TUNE

A very lovely piece. I wonder why it's so common to see sweep seconds longcases with recoil escapements. There's just so much bounce.

Seems like the chime drum is not in the correct location. The full hour sequence does not normally have the "fall" section from high to low (which is only on the 1/4 and 3/4).
@PAOXLEYLONGCASECLOCK7 жыл бұрын
+JC This is a Regency bracket clock with an early striking mechanism and therefore the order of the quarters is completely different to a later mechanism such as a Westminster Chime. If the clock was repeated at quarter past, the barrel will move on one quarter and stay the same the next hour. This is how they all work at this period.
