Just did this to the exact same kayak, I’m not entirely sure if it’s just me but seems to affect stability quite a bit. Looking to see other people’s thoughts

I've had zero issues and even tested on 3 foot swells sideways and didn't tip. It just feels awkward at first. Thanks for watching

Very usefull vid. Same seat i found. Man bit thats about as high a center of gravity as one can get in a kayak. U waaaay up there. Isnt that tipsy? No? Do u find paddling & ergonomics easir higher up? I agree with u. That seems like best seat out there. I like th hamock cushion.

Went and got my setup a couple days ago. Mine’s a bit heavy because all they had in stock was a steel cookie sheet. But still only $10 total. I’ll swap it for an aluminum soon. Works great for car camping. Just what I needed but can’t afford the high end options right now. Thanks for this tip.

It worked for a few days then back to the same stutter/shudder at 40mph~. I dont believe that it fixed yours.

Sorry to hear that. I've probably put 8k miles on since and still no problem 🤷♂️ You might want to have someone run a diagnostic test on it. Might be something as simple as bad spark plug or oxygen sensor perhaps. Hope you find the problem

I already got a bow taller than me for archery shooting, they make an odd FWOOSH-THUMP when you shoot them that's addictive (I got a Welsh yew longbow)
