I’m new to optics. Just installed a Holosun SCS zone my Walther PDP full size 5 inch. I’ve heard so many opinions on zeroing yardage. 10, 15, 25. I even heard someone say 5 to 7 yards. But you broke it down and explained why 10 is the best choice. Can’t argue with the numbers!

Gabe what's your go to red dot? I'm running a Burris and a Delta Point I'm not sure the difference in cost is worth it but they're both really nice

I like it! I shot recently in an IDPA shoot locally, and was assessed a 20 second penalty for "Failure to do right", because during a malfunction clearance, I threw the partially loaded magazine on the ground...WTF? After the match I asked the official if he'd ever been in a actual shooting or deployed in harms way....Nope!

What am I missing? A glock 17 with RMR and MOS leaves you no choice on the cowitness. If you don't add tall sights to it, then you just can't see them because the base of the RMR will block your sights out.
@joebishop79096 жыл бұрын
Very well explained, thanks, I have a RMR type 2 mounted on a glock 19 mos with trijicon suppressor sights. Once I got used to the dot I love it.

Lower 1/3 for me. Or as low as possible. I want as much FOV thru the glass as possible.

I have this mount. I like it but... With a vortex viper it will not co witness with standard glock sights.

Does the lighter weight of the pin increase the possibility of light primer strikes? Or does the fact that the material being harder compensate for the weight reduction?
@SuarezInternational6 жыл бұрын
Not in my experience. The longer firing pin nose would compensate for any issues that may occur.
