So in fully UFH ground and first floor, are biocide necessary? When I did my BPEC in 2010, there was no mention of all this. On the subject of part L and BS 7593, you are pissing in the wind if you think this is being taken seriously!

I'm a long term advocate of power flushing (bought my first Kamco in late 90's and still use a very early magnacleanse). I wonder how many installers appreciate their responsibilities under part L? Given the lead time allowed,I'm disappointed that installers confuse BS7593-2019 with the preceeding Standard which was best practice and not mandatory. BS7593-2019 is now inscribed in law under building regulations. The only way I can see installers complying in the numbers required, manafacturers have to adopt a no nonsense attitude to warranty claims that don't demonstrate Part L compliance. When it comes to test kits,after much research,I concluded that Pro Check and Scalemaster I check stood out. I settled on I test because I liked their scientific approach and I combine fernox turbidity tube with Simplex ph test strips. Great presentation!

I have the Evo home with 3pcs 92 heads. I will make a saving on utilitati buy buying a 8810a opentherm ( my boiler is open therm) or buying the rest of the sistem with 92 heads. I have for the rest of the sistem normal tvr heads for Honeywell. Many thanks

Hi there. I have a natural gas combi boiler (opentherm compatable) which is currently running a 7 zone underfloor heating system using a programmer and basic on/off 100% stats. Main problems with this system are that I often overshoot my preferred temperature, and the floor often gets very hot. I'm sure it's not the most efficient way to do it. Will Evohome allow me to modulate the underfloor heat temp of each zone to fix these two problems? Thanks!
