Where can I find the actual valve/rod? The star tip broke off of the rod, in the handle and that is the only piece I can't find anywhere. This kit has all but the one item I need. lol. I even have the universal one already for all the different sizes. But this one is only 3 inches.

The 400 series no longer has this type of stem. Don't waste your money replacing the stem - it is DEFECTIVE by design. Replace the entire hydrant or you will just be throwing money on parts that don't fix the leaking handle.

3/27/24 Sean here from NJ. I couldn’t tell from camera angle so my question is the popper and wich direction the rubber washer in the popper should face. I thought the rubber washer on the popper should be closest to the inside of the Silcock, meaning rubber washer makes contact with the inside flange of the silcock vs faceing up to make contact with inside surface of the snap on cap. I think I may have mine installed incorrect but I can’t seem to find clear direction in the videos. Been struggling with these for years in various frost free silcocks, no matter which direction I install it. Options & experience needed please.

Okay, that's nice history, but how do I make it completely flush with just a push every time? It's terrible that piss is still in the toilet. I just want to piss, hit the button and walk away to the sink.

Great video. I managed to get the screw and beveled gasket stuck in the pipe when I was removing the stem with the leaking bell basket. The screw is turned such a way that it is difficult to remove. Any suggestions for getting the screw and gasket out?

Can't get the old flapper off because the lip at the end of the spoke is too big and the hole on the flapper won't go over it.

Im gunna save everyone some time and tell you the rubber gasket that you can replace in the top of the float valve isn’t serviceable in this model. You need to buy a whole new float valve

It's not a 3inch flapper, you are reading the ruler incorectly... that is a 3.5inch flapper.
