I followed you both and had a few good conversations. I'm actually preparing to take the NCCER Plumbing level 1 class offered in my area of NC and that's like 80 hours and I'm excited. I'm doing some things at home for myself and the biggest thing I'm about to do is replace my PRV. I'd love to post it on TikTok and get your opinion? Possibly Monday since I need to get the parts first. Thanks for the good information and opening this conversation because I'm often confronted with the stereotype of how disgusting plumbers are and that needs to change and I believe you guys are making this happen day by day!

Binge listened to all of your stuff on Spotify, love what you do! I can’t wait to get back to plumbing. As for solder vs press I’m personally torn. I’ve only been plumbing for a year and I’ve only worked new comercial construction that was 90% press. But I agree whole heartedly with pressing gas because I couldn’t imagine having to thread a 4” black iron pipe up a wall of a 4 story building. I say the main argument for press is it’s faster and requires less technical skill to use. But personally I love solder, there’s just something satisfying about a perfectly soldered joint that you can look at and say “yep I did that.” It gives me a sense of pride in my work. I would love to Join you on one of your podcast and talk about plumbing from and apprentice perspective. Again I love what you are doing please keep up the great work. ❤
