I wouldn’t use that fly wheel with steam, it has way more power than compressed air. I’m tinkering with a pillow bearing shaft and a big heavy brake rotor as a fly wheel. But with steam i wouldn’t trust a piece of wood.

@randallfawc7501 0 seconds ago Great story. I remember as a child Sears in Davenport, Iowa ,was the place to shop at Christmas time. They had absolutely everything. Including model train sets running. How things have changed. And not always for the better. Excellent video. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I hope someday in the future someone will be making a video about Amazon warehouse closures! Abandon Amazon warehouses. That will be a nice video to watch sometime in the future.

It’s sad. Seeing friends and neighbors at the store made the community. Now we are faceless usernames addicted to cheap products that make some billionaire richer.

We had 4 Sears stores over the years in my area. We had one down town that opened in 1948 and closed in 1983. It was the second one down town. Three more were in malls and other in a shopping plaza. Lake county IL, and Kenosha and Racine, Wi

Yes, I have a new video on it. We still like it for what it is. The only thing that I believe is better is a true 212F steam cleaner. But the BG is the best price for money.

They used to have a clear top for the dirty water tank, which made it easier to see when the water was being sucked into the tank. It was a really stupid design decision to change it to the opaque white tank. Now I have to look more carefully to see if the carpet is still wet or not.

I was a WIC driver decades ago.The woodworking and glass work in some of those houses were amazing. I’d love to see Reynolds corners. There’s no drive videos in that area.

I recall when Sears dominated the market, but now they've become obsolete. It's merely an indication of shifting trends, much like how Hollywood Video closed, or Blockbuster and RadioShack disappeared.

This Sears was a johnny come lately to Toledo. The one I and my buddies used to frequent was in the Great Eastern Shopping Center on Woodville R. back in the early 60s. They didn't do clothing yet. We used to get our refills of b-bs for our b-b guns, our bows and arrows, and my dad bought our 12 horse Elgin boat-motor there. Later, I bought many of my tools there. It was a much better Sears than its replacement when they built the Woodville Mall. Ha! It's not just the Sears stores that are gone now, but the shopping centers and malls that held them are gone too. When Sears decided to compete with clothing stores like J. C. Penney's, they started going down hill. By the 70s, the guys on the construction jobs were referring to their "sears-sucker tools" .... "I'm the sucker that bought it from Sears." That was deadly.
