Alex is so heartbreaking because he tore down his walls for the player. Every friendship heart you gain with him, he slowly becomes more vulnerable and removes his typical jock mask. He tells you about his mother and father, which he says he hasn't told anyone other than you. He views the player as "special". If you are a male, he says that he was refusing his feelings towards men at first, then changed his mind. He also is thankful that you are "more sensitive" than the others. Then when you divorce him, he realizes that his gut feelings were wrong and the one person in the town he can confide with (other than Haley), doesn't like/care for him anymore. Then he puts on his gruff exterior again and puts his walls up. Very sad.

i really appreciate how haley is not entirely being mean to her ex-spouse and thanking them for the good memories, well expect for refusing gifts and the fact that she can't stand them anymore, which i don't blame her for... i’d like to think that married life has changed her attitude, and made her act a little more mature than she did when she first met the farmer.

I was able to reach full hearts with the entire town by only giving one of these away. They just felt so precious that I ended up hoarding them along with prismatic shards, pearls, treasure chests, and golden pumpkins. Stardew always brings out the hoarder in me.

No unique reactions? Ngl I don't like how Sebastian gets a bunch of special dialogue from Robin, Sebastian, Maru, Abigail and Sam and Leah can't even get a response from Elliot, while she does comment on it when the farmer gets married to him.
