Good run through. We have been running 2 of these for 3 years now and use them extensively for RA and CS work. Spot on for getting non specialists onto structures. We also specified and trained the rescue team on HPC with the rescue version the RCX. Excellent tool.

Hi Jim, the device is manufactured by Skylotec in Germany. It was released about 3 years ago now. We're so glad you enjoyed the video. We love the Sirius and use it in our training centre for most of our rope rescue courses. Although we still cover the ID as it's more common!

10-12mm for EN 12841 C, ANSI and EN 341 are 11mm, and I believe newer models are also rated as a belay device according to EN 15151 for diameters 9-11mm, both static and dynamic ropes. Not quite sure on the last part, my Sirius is from 11/2020, and doesn't have that marking. The new Spark (Sirius without panic feature) definitely is certified to EN 15151 though, and I'm reasonably certain the newer Sirius's are as well.
