thanks again; I compared the one you used to the one I previously installed that didn't work and yours has different bulb design so i'm ordering it and trying again. the one i previously used prevented the titan oem seal from making contact and actually made the leak worse so i'm excited to try this one. The other thing i've considered is the possibility of replacing the bungee straps with something stronger that would pull the hatch down harder. THANKS!!!

i noticed my scupper plugs also leak sometimes at higher speed.... any ideas for that? My deck is below the water line so the self draining hack doesn't work for me. I noticed the leak on the first outing so they weren't dirty.
@davidzwissler4495Күн бұрын
Native now makes a scupper that fits under the hatch for this…check their site. Of course that’s usable only if you’re not using the Propel drive.

You should contact Native support and share that idea with them. Good Information.

The problem is that they using repro plastic in the good resin mix. In the mold process of the kayak . Resulting in this cracking do the impurity in the quality of the plastic Really sad to see this in such a comfortable kayak design. Awesome channel!!! Tons of ideas and tips!! Looking at buying a new (2022) 133x that has only been in water 1 time. What size inner tubes were you looking at for those trouble areas?
@UntamedOutdoorsmen4 күн бұрын
To be honest I don’t even remember. There’s a Facebook group called Accend 133x owners. Join that and look up inner tubes in the group. People talked about the size.

My only concern as you noted is trying to get that off if and when it eventually wears down is going to be really difficult.

Yeah I’ve removed things applied with this goop before. It was difficult but not impossible just takes patience. Seems to be holding up significantly better than the other keel guard though

Great video guys…question….my understanding is when running battery wire for extended distances you need to use 8-10 gauge wire. I realize that your distance is not that long but the YakPower wire seems to be under rated. Do you feel it is okay?
@UntamedOutdoorsmen8 күн бұрын
@@cutley2b more than fine. The only time you need wire that large on a kayak is for a trolling motor. You never want to run a trolling motor off of this yakpower unit. This is used for light duty stuff like fish finders or lights. No heavy amps are being used. Running 8-10 ga wire when going a distance is not a universal rule.
@TheClayCoKid9 күн бұрын
The installation is pretty clean. Has anyone installed them with the 1/2" hole opposite of how you did it? That would keep all that extra wire off the hatch lid?
@UntamedOutdoorsmen9 күн бұрын
@@TheClayCoKid the 1/2” hole would be too big for that area of the bow hatch.
@BnADaddy9910 күн бұрын
So, instead of cutting the whole grip off, why not just cut off as much as needed to mount the loc and load? Sorry, I know it’s just a handle and I doubt a side would be used much but seemed a bit aggressive. One last thing, since you’re doing a lot of this stuff, I’d highly recommend a couple sizes of step bits. Nice job otherwise.
@UntamedOutdoorsmen10 күн бұрын
Cutting half the handle would look worse than just cutting the whole handle. We’re good with the entire drill bit kit.

I just found your channel. That kayak looks great. I especially like that the surfaces are all mostly flat; that makes it much easier to mount accessories. Usually, most kayaks have several curves to deal with; that's always problematic. I may have missed it but how is the stability? Do you think the v-hull on this model is just as stable as a tri-hull design? Have you been in any rougher water... any two-foot waves with wind? I like the looks of this rig a lot. I've been looking for a few months and this one might be the one. Thank you for posting this. Subscribed.

Another good video guys. Question…do you have the link to the guard for the Titan X? If you go in Amazon, it lists the Titan 12 NOT the X. If you go on Burleys site, they list the X but the sku #’s are different than on Amazon. Want to make sure I get the correct one. BP410213 - Amazon Titan 12 BP410216 - Burley Titan 12.5 X

Because if I had tried to sell it, I’d have to sell it with a crack on it. I’d have to sell a registered kayak without a motor. And I’d have to go through the title and registration transfer process on a boat that had no real value anymore. Didn’t want to do that wasn’t worth the hassle for me.

I've not loaded mine yet, and i have a 10.5 so it will be a little different as i'll have to come up steeper.... my concern was with hitting the transducer and protecting the rudder. I was wondering if turning the rudder to it's maximum ability would help get it out of the way so you could bring it up at a steeper angle to clear the transducer. Is that something you tried and ruled out for some reason? I've learned a ton watching your videos... thanks so much for posting.
