@TexasRailfan21-RailfanRyanАй бұрын
Very great to see the world’s largest operating diesel locomotive back in operation I can’t remember the very last time it operated when it was still owned by Union Pacific and it’s front appearance looks exactly as it did in revenue service I never understood why they added the wings and shield on the front
@SlipperyisimprovingАй бұрын
Well #6936 last ran in 2016

@@Slipperyisimproving wow it’s been that long while I’m really glad she’s back

@@TexasRailfan21-RailfanRyan she didn't run for 7 and a half years. They got it working again.
@TexasRailfan21-RailfanRyanАй бұрын
@@Slipperyisimproving well I’m glad she’s back I honestly think she looks a lot better without the Union Pacific shield with wings on the front because back in revenue service the DD40X locomotives didn’t have that just the plain Union Pacific lettering I’m glad they restored 6936’s original front appearance

two of IAIS's GP9's (725 and 731) were former western pacific locomotives and are now non-operational but preserved at the Western PAcific Railroad Museum. One of IAIS's GP9's 304 caught fire in 1987 sidelining the engine for spare parts. It was used to repair 309 after it got caught up in the devastating altoona crash in 1988.

There was a train pile up starting near the siding at Beech, IA and this was train 3 or 4 of that line. Shortly after IG2LC, there was a grain train with a CN leader followed by a UP, then CN dpu. Next up was MDMDM which had 91 cars.

I see others searching social media looking for replacement remotes for 139.655000 Sears Craftsman garage openers. Wire in another Craftsman receiver model Craftsman 9-53751. The range is about 50-75 feet away from antenna. The red wire went to the left post on the opener.
