Just scored one of these today! Found both your videos on the D50 so great and inspiring me to play it. I’m a guitar player but these are such great sounds from my late teens.

A beautiful module! Koji Kondo used a lot of Proteus sounds for Nintendo games in the GameCube/Wii era. A nostalgia machine!

At 11:28, one begins to see the versatility of the PWM Mantis. It is amazing to see the layers of the song being assembled in real time, again proving the Mantis' practical applications here. Ultimately, I want one yesterday, but! I could never afford one.

This, along with a Korg M1 was stolen in my studio many years ago.. I still think these tones are so inspiring you can write song after song by just using presets

I still have my original D50 that I bought upon release but I don't have all of the original presets, it was nice to hear some of them again, yes they have aged but they are still usable sounds in the songs I am playing these days. I have all of my own patches backed up on multiple media and so I might restore the original presets back to the internal memory.

If you're going to be as vague as "synthesizer riffs", then you should also include TV show intros like Knight Rider and Air Wolf.

I think you might have missed a trick on the main bass... The original sounds like it might have had a 16th note delay with one repeat on it. It wouldn't feel so frantic and difficult to play then.

Thanks for the tour! Fatar is an amazing company. Coming from the classical piano playing, I love their keybeds, both piano and synth. I use SL88 Grand (TP/40WOOD action) and it's amazing! I once contacted Studiologic's support and it wasn't just premium, it was ROYAL. Gianni Giudici, one of the best European performers on the Jazz organ, answered to all my questions himself!
