Yep, Killer is a great game for a group of casual players. It'll be the "killer" game for the system! Hoping to be released in Q4 this year.

another great presentation. Looks pretty awesome. Could be used to show angles to hit as a training mode on a snooker table. (copyright me!)
@HomeLeisureDirect2 күн бұрын
Glad you like it! We think it's pretty awesome too. We are currently working on several games, one of which is along the lines you suggest - it combines a type of practice mode along with challenging shots. We'll continually update everyone as progress is made and new features released.
@NR-fd9wvКүн бұрын
@@HomeLeisureDirect you could make a feature where you recreate shots. you could project lines that show how the ball is supposed to move and a line that shows how the ball actually moved, so you could compare it. it could be used for practice as well as a fun feature (possibly with famous shots that actually happened).

no proper pool player would play this. just for rich houses and a subscription 200 a month is outrageous!

I agree it's too expensive for home customers. It's aimed at commercial venues for casual players for a bit of fun, rather than serious players.

Im so tempted but the disclaimer that some games might not run well puts me off especially with the high price tag
@HomeLeisureDirect10 күн бұрын
With running games on emulators not all games play perfectly. I actually own this system myself, I was so impressed with it. I've played about 50 of the games so far and found them all to play really well, just as I remember them from the arcades.

@HomeLeisureDirect nice I'm looking at the stand up version and mainly interested in the sega racing games outrun daytona ect and chase hq if they run perfect then I'll be happy with it
@HomeLeisureDirect10 күн бұрын
@@gwcks All the Sega games I've tried play perfectly - Outrun, Outrun 2, Daytona, Sega Rally, Crazy Taxi (running on a Dreamcast emulator - but plays brilliantly well.) Virtua Racing is great - silky smooth gameplay, one of my favourites. I never used to play Chase HQ in the arcades, so can't verify if that is a match, but seems good to me! Let me know if you have any other qs. Thx.

Hello, I just want to ask one question. I'm playing with an American-style pool cue on a UK table with UK balls. I find it way more accurate when I'm aiming. Now, it's not so accurate if I want to do back side spin, but if I just want to do back spin, it's okay for that. Now, I was playing on a UK cue, and what I found is I was missing lots of shots. Would this have any effect on my aiming, playing with an American-style cue and playing with a UK cue with a smaller tip? Would this have any impact with my aiming? Would I have to adjust my aiming when I'm playing with a smaller tip size?

That sit down unit price comes out to $6000 Canadian Dollars... I built my kids racing setup for under $1000 CAD, ooof. Also you're including games preinstalled with the system? Seems sketchy.
@HomeLeisureDirect10 күн бұрын
Sounds like you did a great job building your own system for that price! Yes, we include the emulators and games free of charge with our system. It's ready to play out of the box.

Wouldn't it have been easier, production wise, to have the same larger screen cabinet and just have the seat section as an add-on?
@HomeLeisureDirect14 күн бұрын
The cabinet design between the two versions actually is more different than it first appears. The pedals on the sit-down version of the Racer actually had to be raised off the ground quite a bit compared to the Upright, simply to accommodate the adjustable seat. Another issue is overall size. The Racer Sit-Down is delivered in 2 separate parts which have to be attached together, and we had originally prototyped it with the larger 32" screen. The problem though was doors - The larger cabinet needed to accommodate the bigger screen made it too big for a lot of standard doorways, so we shrunk the screen down slightly to compensate. The upright thankfully didn't suffer from this problem, so we were able to keep the bigger screen on that one. :)

1:10 many American tables (typically pay tables in bars) also have a slight size difference between the cue and object balls for the same reason, so that the cue ball can be returned when potted. Or sometimes the cue ball might actually contain a magnet instead, so that it can be rerouted when potted on a pay table.

The classic finishes aren't dead. Far from it. The Winner especially has a huge selection of finishes, including a number of woodgrain finishes. Give the Tournament Pro a look too - A really nice Walnut finish is available on that one.

I am shocked by the two shots after a foul rule! I had no idea! It seems appropriate for amateurs in a pub, not high level players. Getting two shots is huge, and a skilled player should be favored to win the rack in that case. I wonder if it originally came from casual play designed to help amateurs? That's how the APA league rules work, to help unskilled players. Of course, if two skilled players are in the match, it goes both ways and maybe evens out (if not in the same rack, than over a match where multiple racks are required to win).

Somehow it's missing a soundalike for Tony Green. It has a soundalike for Jim Bowen but instead they opted out and used Richard Ashdown to do the lines what usually go to Tony Green. Still, you can't beat a bit of Bully.

How hard is it to get jukebox parts, or mechanic if needed?
@HomeLeisureDirectАй бұрын
For the new models, not really an issue, as the parts for those are still being made and are readily available. As for the vintage ones, people who can repair the vintage models are about and they can source the parts, but they are naturally quite in demand.

Typically, you'll need a whole new table if you want to do that. For virtually every table, it's not possible to retrofit a coin mechanism and ball storage system into a free play table.
