Uh oh, Sarah will be proud of your curb checks. Good job Cindy getting them on video. What a contrast in scenery, its all good. Nice catch on the muley buck, he was a good one. You guys take care, Dave PS We loved Glacial National Park, didn't spend near enough time there. Going to the Sun road is awesome.

Your Grandma Leola Lander and my mom were friends.....I remember her coming to our house to have coffee. What a sweet woman. That house in the beginning was a home for senior citizens. I think it belonged to the Bails family originally.

Holy smokes, that drive looked a little intense. But the scenery was awesome. We really need to think about following your route, I would love to go the same time you guys did, But the boss would never go for that. Wolf Creek Pass, thanks for showing us. You two make good travel partners, that's awesome. Can't wait for the next video. Be Safe Dave.

Thanks Dave. It was very pretty but yes it was pretty sketchy at times. Next time we see you, I will tell you about another sketchy adventure out in that area in pretty similar weather. I'd be happy to share the route with you. It definitely was fun. I think Kurt said you guys have been to Glacier National right? We might want some pointers on that one.

Thank you Dave. I know Kurt has told me a few times that you've been out there and love the Tetons. They are my favorite mountain range. Our original plan this year was to go up to Glacier National and then up into the Canadian Rockies. We literally flew by the seat of our pants on this trip. LOL. Maybe next year we will head that way.

Very nice, I enjoyed watching this. In 2022, I did an East-West-East cross country road trip (45 days). Arches National Park was one of my stops. I was so looking forward to exploring it. When I arrived there, there was a line of cars queued up to get in. I sat in line for more than two hours only to learn I needed a reservation to get in. Since I have visited many of the National Parks, I assumed I did not need a reservation. I was not allowed in. (This might have been a seasonal thing). I know now. :) i will revisit this year. I decided to continue on to my next destination, Natural Bridges National Monument in Utah. I am happy to see Arches National Park through your eyes. Thank you! 🙏

When you went through Door County you passed through Sturgeon Bay which is home of Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding where a number of the 1000 'footers' were built including the Edwin Gott, the sister ship of the Edger Speer. The newest freighter on the Great Lakes, the Mark W Barker was launched there in July of 2022, the first new freighter built on the Great Lakes in 40 years.

There are 13 one thousand 'footers' on the Great Lakes hauling coal or iron ore (taconite pellets) from ports in Western Lake Superior to power plants or steal mills in the lower Great Lakes. These 'footers' can never leave the Great Lakes because they will not fit through the Wellend Canal which connects Lakes Erie and Ontario.

The boats will remove their cargo hatch covers and the slanted looking things on the ore docks are chutes which are lowered and the iron ore will slide down the chutes into the cargo hold of the boat. It has to be carefully done to keep the boat riding level in the water. Usually every other hatch is loaded first, then the remaining hatches are filled so everything on the boat stays stable.
