You could splurge on these two mediocre collections or you could get the best game in the series, G-Darius, for $30.

Darius Gaiden disagrees, but subjective opinion allows for multiple takes.

R-Type Final seems cool albeit very different, but Final 2 just looks kinda mid idk.

Really enjoying this game. Looking at getting Raiden 3 or V mikado...which is recommended?
@StudioMudprints2 күн бұрын
Raiden III Mikado is excellent. I have a more recent feature on that one too. However, I don't like V near as much.

As a mobile phone player, I absolutely LOVE the iOS ports of the Cave shmups. I‘d argue that touch screen controls are the most precise input method for the genre. I just love the micro-precision. Happy to see you covered the iOS version in this great video, and liking it as well. DaiOuJou aka Blissful Death - to me - is perfect. While I initially preferred Resurrection as well, DaiOuJou grew on me, and I think there is no other shmup with a better pacing and better difficulty curve out there. Resurrection‘s last stage is simply a little too long and too annoying. Anyways, thanks for this very informative video!

The truxton games I never had a chance to play until they were rereleased on all those retro arcade compilations they briefly released in the arcade at Dave n busters and other places. Was tough as nails and I'm surprised I never got a chance to play it until then considering shooters were all I played in the arcades besides fighting games and beat em ups

I’m here in 2024 checking this game out since the Xbox 360 store is closing in 3 weeks. So sad. I can always find a nice informative Bullet Heaven to see if a game is worth my time and money.

Hey! I am new here, do you have a "astro city mini V" review?
@StudioMudprintsАй бұрын
Hey 👋 I used to, but it was universally hated (along with the vast majority of the series it belonged to), so I axed it. My general feeling was that of grave disappointment; the most important games ended up being the most destroyed by unfixable input delay. It's a cool piece to look at, just not to play.

I absolutely LOVE the Saseiroku Arrange, especially the arrange of Strange Dance.

Ngl, I really feel that this game was rushed so bad. Though I still like the character designs of some characters like Mao Mao or the Twin Russian girls. The gameplay for me is so meh. If AVGN reviewed this, he will probably say that the game is crap.

Sonic Wings 2 and 3 on Neo Geo CD are *leagues* better. I'd also wager the Saturn version would top this one.

I see a Panzer Dragoon video and I will always watch it and after many this is the 1st time someone has mentioned using the arcade stick. Thank you.

I like the Vulcan and Laser but could never get the hang of playing with the Wiggle Beam

Wiggle-Beam Supreme is definitely an acquired taste. I, too, prefer the Vulcan overall.

The first Tatsujin/Truxton I cleared a loop in was the PC Engine version a few years before 1 loop of the arcade version. Always loved the PC Engine music the most out of all of the versions. P.S. Whenever Truxton Extreme releases in the future, I presume you're gonna dive on that? I plan on making it a day 1 purchase cause I gotta know!
@StudioMudprintsАй бұрын
Oh I'm 100% in on Tatsujin Extreme. I'll be dropping a preorder as soon as it's available.

I love this game. It's so weird! Also, I'm here for the rail shooter renaissance. Rail shooters have a list of fundamentals that are essential to understand that some games trying the genre get so wrong. Hopefully we keep seeing strong examples of moving the genre forward.

Salamander 2 is a really smooth playing game. I play it mostly on the PSP Salamander Deluxe Pack on my really big PSP (Steam Deck). It works out beautifully

I, too, have the Salamander Portable collection on PSP. It's cool! I actually just took delivery of a Konami Arcade System GX Salamander 2 PCB. I like this game that much!

Can you share what Columbus Circle Famicom games you had issues getting to run on your AVS?
@StudioMudprints2 ай бұрын
Yes, I couldn't get 8-Bit Music Power Encore, Kira Kira Star Night DX, and Neo Heyankyo Alien to run on the AVS. I don;t imagine the AVS will be patched for those any time soon. They all work on original hardware and Columbus Circle's DIY kit though.
