As a former duck hunter (Many Moons ago) that puddle is too small and the time of day is wrong. Place a trail camera and let it run for at least a week. If this is not on an island it does not have any promise. Wild ponds need to be at lease 8" deep and over 1/8 acre (43560/8) or be a flowing creek. This looks like a farm run-off treeline after a heavy rain.
