I get the dog. I’m in a similar position. I love my art room but, all my animals do also. Do you give classes? I’m full of bits of information and I’m not finding my own true art self, so to speak. I never thought I needed rules or steps in chronological order . Maybe that’s where I’m messing up. All art I want to do well. I’m not finding any order it’s stumping me. I just need to get over the hump I think. Please let me know if you give a class.

I wish I could share one of my pictures of my black labrador. For the highlights I used white and now I looked at the picture of her again and I see all this blue!!

That scared me watching you use that knife with that pressure. I sliced my finger to the bone using one to cut stencils when i was signwriting so id have to buy my packaging already cut.

If you're only fixing small batches of color at a time, how do you keep uniformity of color?
@CaroleRodrigue4 ай бұрын
Nothing has a uniform colour, including these lemons, so it’s really not an issue. If the lemons were one uniform colour, they’d look flat. If I do run out of a colour, I’ll just mix more. It’s really not an issue.

Are you holding your hand above the painting?
@CaroleRodrigue4 ай бұрын
I often use the tip of my pinky finger to rest somewhere and keep my hand steady, and sometimes my wrist is resting on my other hand, but you don’t always see that in videos.

Damn tried to send you small thanks and it didn't work. Thank you for your video as I'm stuck.....on a black cat face. If you have a website I can send a small thanks please link it and I'll send thru there as it won't work here.

Why put blue on a lemon ?
@CaroleRodrigue5 ай бұрын
Reflected light. When painting reflections, one needs to really examine the colours that are being reflected and paint those colours in order to achieve something realistic. This is what painting what you really see and not what you think you see is about.

This is perfect. I needed this help with a pastel painting I am doing. I see you are using Caran D’ache but I can’t work out the pencil numbers for the colours of the eyes. Can you tell me the exact colours you use. The colour of the eyes is what I am stuck on but I only have about 10 CD pencils (most of mine are FC). I hope you can help. 😊
