In the final scene in the film , and in the novel, he breaks through to her with soft gentle touching, not with words. It seems talking about love causes Margaret to panic. In the novel it isn’t kissing, but just holding her that causes her to relax and melt into him

The first thing i do when i come across a scene that i like so much in a show, is to look that scene up in KZfaq, to save it and to read the comments underneath it, it's my version of discussing it, only it is in an open amount of times, and with countless number of people world wide.

So beautiful, Timothy and Zelah🌹🌹🌹😌👑,Mister Dalton had said that this was his best work, on that I concur. They were perfectly matched in this production, and though I'm coming late in viewing the mini series it encapsulates everything Miss Bronte put to paper 📝 of the poor, obscure, plain, and little heroine , forever Jane👑😌🌹❤️

The cadence of Thornton's breathing between the phrases "you assume because I'm in trade, I'm only capable of thinking in terms of buying and selling" and "that I take pleasure in sending my employees into an early grave!" suggests that his feelings are much more intense than he ever lets show. It sounds as if he might be fighting back tears. He often comes across as cold, harsh, severe, and uncompromising but it becomes obvious that this is a facade which he's probably felt compelled to cultivate deliberately even though it doesn't really reflect the nature of the man underneath.
