at 16:00 he is using theorem 1 to conclude u = 0 a.e. but u may not be non negative and to use theorem 1 we need the function to be non negative

At 10:44, why did you say P(k) is false, doesn't "Let the statement be true for some arbitrary n = k" mean that P(k) is true? We can then proving by adding 1 on both sides that P(k+1) is also true. T -> T is logically true.
