for the first melt text, im confused on why my thing smears in the first part when i want it to at the end. im sorry if im not making sense. do i need to use a keyframe, or?

Re-effect does not have a key frame option. Just do what I showed. If you want the melt at the end of you clip, like I showed, you have to move to end of the clip and then add it(slide the circle on the line to the far right).

No idea. To my knowledge there’s no way to customize the thickness of the button. It’s probably just a bug in the app or an optical illusion because my button is a custom color and not the default

There’s nothing much to do inside video star itself to achieve good quality edits otherwise then setting your comp to 4k and using high quality scenepacks. Just don’t overdue your sharpen and you’ll be good.
