How you do this in tenths, running 2% on a 6in pave, 4in etc I get confused with the metric system
@Engineersupply
@Engineersupply Ай бұрын
Sure thing! Converting between tenths and percentages can be tricky, especially when dealing with different units like inches and metric. To run a 2% slope on a 6-inch pavement, you'd need to calculate the rise over run. Since 2% is equal to 0.02, you'd multiply the length of the pavement (6 inches) by 0.02 to find the rise. For a 6-inch pavement, the rise would be 0.12 inches. Similarly, for a 4-inch pavement, the rise would be 0.08 inches. This calculation helps ensure your pavement has the correct slope for drainage and stability. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Have and own those pliers and they are awesome for what they are and money spent (although pricey). You can't go wrong with knipex (pronounced like knife to me it makes more sense). Like Klein they are quality tools as well.

Hey, turn the microphone on and speak. People are not watching videos, so that they can read might as well take away the stupid music too if you’re not gonna add any voice. I can read the book, I want to watch the video and be instructed. Just a little FYI.

Looks like they make these things to last just beyond the 1 year warranty because if you look at the reviews, the majority of complaints are that it died after 1 year. My complaint is that it says it can be used in rainy conditions, but apparently isn't for use outdoors. Misleading to say it can be used in rainy conditions, but not outdoors. I found this out because I wanted to measure something outside and it wouldn't measure anything over 44' outdoors. Laser didn't seem to show up anywhere outdoors beyond that 44 feet. I am hoping that is only an issue when used outdoors, because it says it measures up to 165' and I haven't had a chance to measure anything indoors to see if it will measure that distance. I bought it to take on a walkthrough for bidding a job, so it better actually measure up to 165 feet indoors, because my walkthrough will include factory and warehouse spaces.

This video is too vague and will probably result in more instruments being wrong that right! Let me give it a try: BACKGROUND: a level, be it a rotating laser or optical, can be viewed as the center of a record album, and eminating from that center is a flat plane extending in all directions. When calibrated to spec ("pegged"), an the flat plane projecting from pr

I really hate that you can never get practical info on these things. The descriptions say it detects from 6" to 15 feet depending on the size of the object. That is not helpful at all. How deep can it detect a 1" galvanized water pipe? Who knows until you buy it because no one gives you any useful information.
