Thank you for making these videos! I got some of my friends into Diplomacy a few months ago because of your video on it. I had watched it long before then but could never convince enough people to try it until February. And I don't care what the statistics say, the best country to play as is Italy!

Geology is very recent development. We're learning new things every year, so one should never die on a hill when it comes to theories. From what we've learned about other mass extinctions, we can never say one single thing causes them. It's always multiple factors that result in a global scale disaster.

Fun to hear some opinions and stories and stuff. Either way, I enjoy the stuff you make. Genuinely has helped me to some degree remember why I wanted to become a scientist, same with broccoli and a few others, in a time where my life feels like it hasn't quite been working out from mid depression, stress from uni and more. Either way, I will always rather you and people in general take a break, even one that they don't return from, if needed here. I know you kinda said that hasn't been something you don't have problems with (specifically you considering quitting), so eh. Still, feels like something some people need to hear, even if you don't seem to. Either way exams suck, and I hope you continue to have some good times

Hey man, i just wanna say that your mass exctinction debate video prooves that people do want more effort and researched topics on this site, even though it is full of a lot of low effort content farm stuff, the passion behind the good stuff is still there for people!

You'd automatically be at least Euclid because you're intelligent and thinking - Safe class tend to be inanimate objects. Keter objects are actively trying to breach containment, so probably not that either. Euclid seems right.

18:40 The senseless stuff you see others doing doesn't give them an actual loyal audience. Putting your mind, heart, body, soul, whichever you choose to call it - does. And with topics as diverse as you have, it's going to be even more loyal.

I like this video, second watch-through by the way. In the late 90s and possibly early 00s, as a kid in school, there was always some effort by the teachers and learning material to include volcanoes as an explanation for what killed the dinosaurs. Except it was always framed like "yeah, an asteroid killed the dinosaurs! 100%, yep that's what did it!" and then in smaller font or a quieter voice: "....and, also, maybe, it was volcanic activity". I always found that kinda strange. Nice to get an explanation for what that was all about.

Don't be bothered to much and don't make more video (frequency wise). For the quality we get from you, this is more then adequate and I am perfectly content waiting over a year, if it means this is the types of videos I am getting. Quality is worth it.

Oliver, thank you for your videos! As a person who suspects himself of having ADHD and who is currently finishing masters in mathematical physics while wasting time that would better be spent on writing the thesis compulsively exploring obscure historical topics (incidentally, also as someone fairly well known in the community of an obscure indie sandbox game), I find your videos almost a too perfect match for my taste. A book recommendation, if I may: based on your reading list and percieved personality, I suggest that you give a try to "Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality" by Eliezer Yudkowsky. I have reasons to suspect that you would ENJOY this book.
