Complete useless test without a clothing barrier

Im not buying into the negatives on this rifle. I really think most of it is user error.

I have one these 3.8 XDM elites and it is without a doubt my favorite and probably the best Stryker fired polymer pistol I’ve shot the trigger is amazing it’s accurate and handles the 10mm power/recoil better than the 4th gen G20 I used to have even though it’s a smaller gun!

Can you do different ammo like light gain to 250 grain and see what will happen. And can you shoot 1 mile.

I just picked up this rifle for 800 dollars with the optic being 200 (Strikefire 2) as you can tell I'm entering the civilian AR 15 world in a rather budget to medium level. I have yet to shoot my rifle as I haven't been able to get to the range but anyway you did a great job showcasing what my version can possibly match because as you know ever rifle or gun has its own personality. I wish WISH WISH I had some good land out of city limits like you probably do and set up a firing range. You can really tell how skillful you manipulate that rifle. If I could train in my backyard and not have to join a membership or interact with people I would be the happiest person alive. I'm glad I picked up a reliable rifle brand. THankss for the video

These ballistic test are meaningless. There been ammunition in the past did very good in ballistic gelatin and four layer denim test, but did poorly in real life scenario. 10mm defensive ammo been water down compared to hunting loads. I do carry Federal HST 10mm and Underwood 180 grain. Underwood is the better value.

Most 10mm defensive loads aren't full power loads. Except for the feeling in your finger, there's nothing wrong with that ammo as long as your shooting it out of four or five inch barrels. I prefer Federal HST in my 10mm.

You do not state the bullet weight ? 180 grain or 200 gr ???

The cartridge is still scarce. Which makes you saying it was a weird launch for it, even BIGGER!! Lol....I have been to the range. It is a lil more kick than my 350 Legend, but definitely not a kick like my brothers 450 Legend.

do us a favor,rack the slide without pressing that grip safety.....if you do this ,youll know why ppl dont like that grip safety.its because grip safety shouldnt stop your slide from chambering a round.grip safety should disable the trigger.if you ever had to clean an xd,you know feel like that safety isnt right

Bullets are generally seated by the ogive, not the tip of the bullet, and not all bullets are exactly the same length. Also when packing compressed cases, the same amount of pressure won't = the same length

I finally gave up on using the press to prime cases and use an RCBS hand primer. It's another step but I was fed up with the aggravation of having to stop and deal with primer issues. The case feeder is a steaming pile of crap. I've spent countless hours messing with it. I've worked with customer support and watched all kind of video's on how to fix issues but it is not consistently reliable. It was a waste of money and I no longer use it. Other that those problems, and they aren't insignificant, I've used the press to load well over 10,000 9mm and 45 rounds. If I were to do it all over again I would probably look at Dillon.

Good test, Mr. T! I'll admit, I'm a little surprised that these didn't penetrate better, I fully expected them to at least make it to the end of the block. I only have 2 .38's, one an older Colt and a Colt Cobra. Due it's aluminum frame the Cobra is strictly a standard load revolver. Personally, I developed a load with hollow based wad cutter, loaded inverted and + cut prior to loading. Anything over 850 fps and they keyhole but when kept below they mushroom and penetrate perfectly. However, I have given up on the labor intensive wadcutters and now load the Lehigh Xtreme Defender bullets. I have tinkered with round ball loads, including 2 and 3 ball loads but the velocities are always disappointing. The Lehigh loads scoot right along with minimal recoil. I consider the .38 Special standard loads to be very similar to .380 ACP, which I consider to be the minimum for self defense and at that, very close range defense! They have a generally minimum effect and are not what you want in your hand in the case of a determined attacker. Most of the they'll do just fine because not too many people are bullet proof and most people don't like getting shot and will run like the cockroaches they are at the sight or first shot of any kind of gun! But it's the one badass out there who is a bullet sponge and has decided that it's your day to die. That's the guy I worry about! Hopefully I never get to meet up with him! Cheers, jc

I saw a different video that claimed they had the punch ammo but it was nickle plated brass. All of my 38spl punch ammo has been standard brass.

You did know it was made out of plastic before you bought it right. At least you can paint some camouflage on it and not worry about ruining a nice gun
