I think the Fastest ap farm is chapter 12, go to neibelhaim go to clouds house and do the side quest with the white cat and keep killing the worker bees dont kill the queenbee, :)

The bee quest is quick and you can keep it going as long as you want but you can end up killing the queen bee and then have to go back and start the whole quest again. This method is consistent and each run takes around 2 minutes. It is a matter of preference in the end. I found the quest to be a bit slow for my taste.

What difficulty are you on for this run? On dynamic you get a boost on earning XP/AP.

This is easy difficulty but it is after finishing the story. You get the boost on all difficulty after you unlock chapter select.

Yeah the core combat is pretty repetitive sadly. But the boss fights and epic moments are so good that it's still tough to not recommend the game.
