1:20 By rolling the aircraft pilot turns it into the first stealth plane getting invisible while rolling.

so a Skagit Valley man I met on an XC ski day to Stampede Pass said he owns a Twin Bonanza -- he had met a retired man "Al Johnston", & found out he had a pilot's license -- They go to fly it one day, & Al is given the movable "throwover" yoke to take off -- at ~40-ft elevation he starts a perfect 1G barrel roll "A coffeecup would not have spilled." says the plane owner Al then confesses his nickname was Tex, and yeah he had a "signature move"

Hahaha good one Tex!!! As long as you keep her pitched upwards about 15 degrees, you're able to give the passengers an armchair workout!!!

Can somebody please explain why when rolling a massive aircraft like that it would only cause 1G on the whole aircraft?

Tex calls it a chandelle, but he did a barrel roll. A chandelle is a 180 degree turn and climb ending just under the stall speed. A barrel roll is a climbing turn until you are upside down at 90 degrees and continue the roll until you are back right-side up and headed in the original direction. It's a 1G maneuver. An aileron roll is impossible because of the length of the wings and physics.

That near tail strike, yaw right and near wing strike on take off was just as scary as the roll.

I lived in WA in the 80s and 90s and the population explosion had already occurred. I read this story in the paper and what went through my mind were any people fishing on Lake Washington that day and witnessed that would go home and try to explain to their friends and family what they'd seen and NO ONE would have believed them. it was totally a happy little accident that I ran across this video today!

Normally a pilot would announce to the passengers something such as ‘Ladies and gentlemen, below us you can see the Mississippi River’ On this flight it would be ‘Ladies and gentlemen, below us you can see….the sun!’

This would probably have been better with just the interview and the still image, without a video of the plane disappearing into a pixel right before it does the thing.
