I followed this video step-by-step, but Popper ignores the Alternate Launcher field and tries to load the VPX8 table in VPX7. From what I've read, the new emulator needs to be set up in Popper and given a START script --- but I can't get it to work.

hi, is there a possibility to set global default settings for all tables in vpx 10.8. I have over 1000 tables, it will take a lot of time to edit them one by one. 😊

Thanks Rudy. This helped a lot. The move to 10.74 to 10.8 RC4 has really screwed me up in configuring these tables. I honestly dont know why Visual Pinball changed these settings as I dont see anything positive about them but just a way of screwing us up in configuring our tables🤔

Hi there thanks for the tutorial. Everything work right except for one problem that I have. When you made this video you made it for people who have three screens. I just have one screen and as of right now because both the Playfield, the DMV, and the back glass is set up to be full screen. Now because of this whenever I start a game the play screen does complete full screen but it also covers the DMV and the back glass so what I'm basically asking is can you help me with this problem and show me a way to config this for one screen or just give me instructions on to do this. Thank you.

When I run a Future Pinball table through Pinballx the default style shows. Is it possible to solve this problem?

I guess it's the 43" monitor that allows you to see the top of the castle and back panel. My 40" can only get as high as the tower before it starts cutting off. Curious as to your pov settings.

Great video. My MM table has been broken as the castle door stays closed after the first castle. Ive read its an issue with VpinMAME. What version of the table are you using and did you have to tweak it to get it to work?

When you want to use the dmd only from a b2s file and pup pack it´s just easier to just hide the backglass in the b2s server settings.

Good morning sir I have a off topic question related to a two screen setup. Do you know if there's a generated screen that you can use somehow to put up on the second screen so you can display your full screen DMD and topper and shrink the back glass to fit in the frame?

I can't my system to record audio. I know there's a line for it in the bat file. Any idea how to configure that?

Man....am I glad I found this video. Just getting back into my cabinet after not touching it for over a year and I was woefully behind. Screwed everything up, had to restore from a Macrium Reflect backup and now when I get back from vacation, I'm going to give this a go.

As Brian posted if you are a dof user you will need to keep the original rom name at the start and just add a letter at the end so dof knows what to use.

Great tutorial - answers a ton of questions and opens up a bunch of flexibility in setting up tables!

Now that I have this all setup and am able to start trying new tables I am having a problem getting some Future Pinball tables to work such as Star Wars Death Star Assault Galactic Edition. Looking into the install docs it says the minimum BAM version needed is 1.5.373. Baller Installer comes with 1.5.365. So I am thinking I will need to upgrade BAM to get this table to work? You don't happen to have a guide for this do you?

great video Rudy but I know your not a DOF user, so here's a tip if your a DOF user, the naming convention for the alias must start with the original game name/rom name in order for DOF to function (provided the original table a has a DOF entry on DOF configtool website). example for grease alias would need to be "elvis_grease,elvis" attack from mars will work as you have it the video since the alias name has the original rom name in the beginning. "afm_113bb,afm_113b"

I watched your Die Hard video too. My question, after i use the screen calibration table (I put all the measurements in) do I need to export the POV file? If I don't what will happen? I prefer to tweak each table individually but would like to know the reason for the export. Thanks in advance

My personal preference is to keep the XY really close to each other. I also offset Y to move the rules off the table. That puts the flippers closer to where they would be on a real table in relations to buttons on my cab and keeps the XY at 1:1. Everyone's setup an preferences are different. I love the new settings, they are a great improvement! Thanks for the video!
