I think the popular games shown in the later parts are well known by most of the Plafform fans, so for the lesser known games from this list I can highly recommend Broforce and Huntdown. Broforce is one of my favorite plattformer of all time in terms of gameplay, fun, chaos and chainreactions and Huntdown is also a really good action plattformer. I finished both games and Broforce even gives you a level editor and lots of custom levels from the community. If you want Multiplayer fun with your friends, I can recommend Towerfall Ascension. It has that old bomberman feeling ("come on boys, one more match!").

Dragon's Dogma 2 is the equivalent of Monster Hunter with a 10th of the boss count and most of your time is spent fighting the environmental resource enemies instead.

I gotta disagree with you. World is the best starting point for a new player. Rise jist doesn't play like anything like the other games. Between wall running and web slinging and generally being to easy. It's definitely worth a play for sure. But world is the best place to start in monster hunter
