Japan is MORE racist than the U.S. I live and work here in Tokyo. My son is mixed U.S. and Japanese. He was born in America and was raised there until he was 10 years old. We moved here and he went to elementary school, Junior High, High School and now attends a good University in Japan. He overcame the Japanese language barrier and speaks fluent Japanese and English. I hope that he decides to move back to America where he has better opportunities and where he will no longer have to tolerate the racism and Xenophobia of Japan. Myself, I make a good living here and make way more than the average Japanese citizen. It's because I went to college and picked a great career field. I can't stand the racism here. It makes me sick to my stomach. But on the inside I feel good about myself, better than the horrible Japanese that give me gaijin hate every morning and evening on the subways and trains.

I'm proud and rooting for Kaname, he is what the future of Japan needs. As an American (of Latino descent) and Westerner, I can tell you that multi-culturalism has gotten beyond out of control. Again, as an American diversity has been an American thing since its inception and only got more diverse through the 2 centuries and decades. And in many ways it's a beautiful thing that has exposed me to many different kinds of people and cultures and has made me understand them better. Cities like NYC and Toronto wouldn't be the cities they are without the amazing diversity. However, it has come to a point where diversity has evolved into "multi-culturalism" and it's becoming/became a huge issue for many countries here in the West. The illegal immigration we are being met with has brought in a group of people (not all, NOT all of course) that are highly not in congruence with what we would want our future to be. Added elements of crime of which we were already dealing with, certain people who come here and bring the blight of their countries problems and ways with them and don't care for our country. I know to some I may be spewing "White Nationalist" rhetoric but think of it like this: Swap the population of Lahore, Bangladesh with the population of Tokyo and Tokyo with the populace of Lahore. In 10 years you will have COMPLETELY different cities. One for the better and one for the worse, I'll let you guess which one. I'm not saying the Japanese should be discriminatory against foreigners, of course not. However, Japan should be SUPER careful with how accepting they are with inviting multiculturalism into their nation.
